3 wood shaft

Hi.I'm a bit of a short arse. 5 ft 5..

Would it be a good idea to stick a 3 wood shaft in my driver?

There is no such thing as a "3 wood shaft" per se.  While some raw shafts are "butt trim only" most are progressively tipped...the heavier the club head the more material is removed from the tip section prior to assembly.  If you pull a shaft from a 3 wood and stick a driver head on it; the result would most likely be a "stiffer" driver...owing to the lighter head.  I'm not saying it would not, or could not, work...just that the flex characteristics of any given shaft will change, for better or worse, when the length or head weight are altered.

In der bag:
Cleveland Hi-Bore driver, Maltby 5 wood, Maltby hybrid, Maltby irons and wedges (23 to 50) Vokey 59/07, Cleveland Niblick (LH-42), and a Maltby mallet putter.                                                                                                                                                 "When the going gets tough...it's tough to get going."
