Day 3: long day, so just some mirror work while watching the Dutch crash out of the World Cup. Working on feels to get the front shoulder lower and rotating more.

Day 10 (30 Jun 26) - Grandson wanted to play 18 holes - best (super ball) ball format from the intermediate tees (the special set of purple tees that play less than mine, but longer than his regular tees).  We had a blast working from shot distances we do not normally play - had him switch it up to true alternate shot on the last four holes.  It then became a game of how to give my partner the best lie for his shot…..thinking we may do this again soon….sure does evoke a new level of trust in your partner and their skill set.

Day 299 6-30

Low point control skills work. Feel like I'm missing the towel most of the time without a ball, with a ball still needing a bit of work. After that i worked on some flow/wrist arching. Recorded swings.

Day 300 7-1

Low point control with ball. Started out slow just trying to miss towel and ramped speed and length of swing up. Hit foam balls. Was really not feeling it tonight.

Day 11 (01 Jul 26) - Weekly 9 hole session - primary focus on tempo with irons on approaches and hitting the meat of the greens.  Greens were a little hairy, so putting was on the aggressive side….still had a decent 39.

    • I’ve hit them all and had a set with MMT’s. Recoil…. Don’t know which one you’re talking about.  The Dart 90 felt the most like steel and had a lower ballflight.  Similar to my Steelfiber i95 iron shafts.  I preferred the Steelfiber but could have done Dart and been ok.  The Recoil ESX felt more like traditional graphite and got the ball up in the air quicker.  Had a softer feel, as I said, more on the graphite sided than the steel shaft feeling side.  If you’re looking at the recoils with SmacWrap, those are great as well, felt a little stouter than the ESX. MMT… Did not care for them at all.  I had a set of 105 and a set of 125.  First off, they are tip heavy…. So it throws off the swingweight.  Similar to Steelfiber where strands of steel are woven into the graphite but Steelfiber feels 1000 times better.  To me they felt awful.  To get the swingweight right I would have had to put lead tape under the grip.  And then I have a heavy club that still doesn’t feel right.  They also play a half flex stiffer.  One day I was good hitting them, the next day bad.  I can’t vouch for the 75 and 85 gram but I believe there are better choices in that weight range.  Not a lot of graphite choices in the 105-125 gram range.   KBS PGI…. I seriously can’t remember much about them.  The fact that the “P” stands for players tells you they are demanding. I believe I didn’t think much about them because they lacked feel.  If it’s any consolation… I never see anybody using them and I never get a request to see if we carry them.   To summarize, Recoil ESX for graphite feel, lighter weight but good dispersion.  Smac wrap for a little tighter feel.  MMT feels weird, low ballflight, plays stiff.  PGI  very demanding.  I would give Steelfiber a look.  If you do, go down a flex.
