Day 641 - 2026-07-05

Got a lot of work in during the 100°. Did some short game, but mostly just worked on P1 to P3. Hands feel "out" quite a bit.

It's not like the left one looks all that bad, but the right one helps.

Day 305 7-6

slow reps with a focus on "extending" trail arm, and slight forearm rotation. Recorded and hit foam ball. Feeling the difference from pulling the elbow to the side and arms behind body.

Day 10: hit the foam balls for a bit after the US’s wet fart of a game. Slowed down, really trying to get the shoulder down. Seeing improvements, but need to see them with faster swings.

Day 643 - 2026-07-07

LIght day. Did some demonstrations for videos, some mirror work starting the backswing and feeling the right length (with some at speed). It's a process, and I've gone back to square 1.5. 🙂

    • 1. When you work on something in your swing, it may not lead to direct improvements on the course. You may play worse until it starts to stick.  2. When you practice, focus on changing the image on the video screen, not what the ball does. I shanked a few yesterday on the drills I was doing, and I am 100% ok with it. I know why it happened, but it wasn't a cause for concern. I went back to the drill, focusing on the true goal.  3. When you get onto the course, you may have to abandon the feel because it isn't locked in, and you may just have to focus on contact and start lines. Right now, for me, I am hitting big cuts to smallish cuts because my swing is too steep. I am ok with it because I can aim left. What I am working on is shallowing the club and hitting from the inside. It's not something right now I can take to the course. So, maybe as the summer goes along, my cut becomes less of a cut or even draw. Then I will adjust my aim. Right now, I don't try to force it on the course.  4. Change takes time. I have been working on a lot of the same stuff for like 3+ years now. I will probably have to continue to hammer the same stuff to refresh the feels for the rest of life playing golf.
    • Almost every shot fat. I suppose I shouldn’t care, but it feels like I can’t play at the moment.
