breaking drivers in quick succession

===@osean79 - i guess i could be hitting the ground too, though would the club head fly into the air roughly following the ball flight onto the grass as mine did?? did that happen to you? I'm thinking that if I hit the ground before the ball, the ball would shoot up high and the driver head would scuff along the ground?

Also i wasn't really swinging "very, very hard", at least i didn't feel as though I was putting in anymore power.===


Graff, first I need to let you know that i was scared to swing a driver for quite a long time after breaking 2 of them. However, once i developed a feel for swinging the club, I never broke a club again. From what I remember, the first time i broke the driver, the head flew off and i only felt the shaft get lighter on my follow through swing. Second time it happened, which was a couple range session afterwards... I actually felt the head snap off. I believe when I hit the group the shaft was broken by the hosel but still connected to the head. On my follow through (a splite second after hitting the ground), the whip motion of the shaft going through probably broke off the head... which is where I felt the head snapping off and flying through the air!
