I have a pair of golf shoes that don't seem to have a makers mark on them. when I figure out how this forum works and get to post count (if there is one) I will post a picture of them. If anyone would be able to give me an idea of who made them, a date on when (possibly) and maybe a value. Who knows, maybe someone here could use them! Thanks in advance and any info on how to post a picture would be much appreciated! Im accustomed to forums, just not this one.

Does it  say "Dexter" on the spikes?

If so, they are Dexters, made by Dexter shoe company, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway.

Likely made in the late 80's or early 90's at the latest, as metal spikes were starting to go away by then.

Little to no value-like $1 at a yard sale- as most courses don't allow metal spikes and they aren't old enough to have collector value. Now if you could document that Tom Watson wore them, different story.

Reloader are you?  I was never into rifles; shotguns are more my thing.

This is difficult to decipher.  No offense but could you give that another go?

Between auto correct and my phone, that was crazy! On my laptop now. I meant, I’m far more a reloader, than a golfer. Those are the competitions that I do (shooting, not actual reloading). Lol, and the most golf I’ve ever played was putt putt! I apologize for the cryptic message.

No problem.  I just noticed the Hornady stuff in the background and recognized a kindred spirit.  Welcome to the game of golf...another form of madness.

Oh well. They look like some Dexters I had back in the day.

I am an RCBS man myself by the way, but not very active. I've had a couple of false restarts in the past couple of years, though.

Thank you. I have no favorite brand. I find that different brands have different purposes. Hornady is go to to for straight wall cases though.

    • Day 85 - Played 9. Driver was solid, approach shots were pushed, chipping/pitching was better, putting was rough.
    • Day 514, March 28, 2024 Quick ten minutes while waiting for the wife to come home for our trip.
    • Day 262: did a stack session. Worked on rehearsal swings during rest breaks.
    • It's been a little more than a year since I can last remember hitting golf balls and today I just got my second cortisone injection in 11 months. I thought maybe shortly after the first injection I was going to be able to start playing again with therapy but the pain while doing my backswing past halfway just didn't subside like just lifting my hands up in the air did. So today the Orthopedic surgeon put more in the backside of the shoulder than before to address the tendon more. I'm going to try therapy for another 3 months and if I  can't swing the club without pain then I think surgery is going to be my next option.
    • I was just down visiting family in southern California and we played a couple rounds of golf. I hit my ball into the deep rough near some tree's and my cousin's husband offered me his Sim 2 Rescue Hybrid to try out. And I felt the same way, wow! I loved it, it also had a Pure DTX grip on it which I loved. As soon as I got back home, I ended up buying two used Calloway Rogue X hybrids, 3 and 5. So far I've only tested them out at the range, but I love them. They're much more forgiving than irons for me.
