Conforming putter grip

Would this be a conforming grip? 

Or any suggestions on a thin putter grip. 

 

I have a pistol style golf pride grip on my putter. 

 

Would shaving the backside along the top of the grip down be considered conforming or is that "molding" it 

 

any ideas, as I have small hands and I'm looking for a grip I can get my hands to fully wrap around

I wouldn't recommend shaving your current grip down...it would no longer conform.

Something you might want to consider are junior or undersize grips.  For example, Tacki Mac makes a junior size of their standard pistol grip, so it's the same shape, just smaller, and Golf Pride makes the Dual Durometer in an undersize version:

Yes, using a junior or undersize grip (some people still call them "ladies" grips, but "undersize" is the updated and more accurate term) is absolutely conforming!  You will probably find more of a selection in the undersize category than the junior category.
