I just got this ping answer for my birthday and love the feel of it. I don't think there's another putter under a 90 bucks that is this good for the price.

I even tested out the Ping I-Series Anser, that starts at around 120, and didn't like it as much, it just didn't have much feel unless you struck it exactly on the insert.

I'm terrible, but i have fun.

I'm thinking about picking up the same putter. I am using an old Anser 2 but I think the technology has advaced enough to justify a new one.

I'm still drooling over the Redwood Anser but times are tough right now.

Driver: 454 Comp 10.5* Stiff
3-Wood: Warbird Strong 3 Stiff
Irons: I10, 3-PW, white dot, stiff
Wedges: Tour-W 54/14 and 60/10
Putter: Anser 2Ball: Pro-V1

I have the Karsten Anser 2, and I agree it just feels great. As for the Redwood, I also agree it looks great, but I demo'd it at the same time as the Karsten and it doesn't feel all that great. My swing coach, who is a Ping staffer said the same thing in comparing the Redwood and the Karsten.

      I'll say again… you have a different definition of "temporary" and "speed" than I do. For your handicap to go up FOUR shots means you were through the soft cap and approaching the hard cap. If you did it over 15 rounds (leaving five potentially lower scores), then you played REALLY bad golf over that stretch because it's likely that only three or four of the best of those 15 rounds were actually counted, so if the three or four best scores RAISED your handicap five shots (three at 100%, 2 at 50% once you hit the soft cap), then that's some BAD golf over an extended (not temporary) period of time. And here's the thing… play 15 good rounds, or even just EIGHT, and it'll DROP again, even faster. Handicaps still drop faster than they rise, not only because of the way we calculate it (best 😎 but because of the caps. Right… it's not like you're not needing the shots. You're playing really badly, and your handicap is still lagging behind your play.
