I have only been Golfing for the last 4 years. My dad is a die hard and I finally caught the bug because of him. I play all over the area, but spent most of my time at Warren Golf Course at Notre Dame last year. It's a bit over my head, but it's a great course.

I'm 34 and my goal this year is to break 90 at Warren GC. Last year was break 100 and beat my dad, I managed both.

Maybe take some lessons??

Hello from the same city...we will have to play some time....I play Erskine GC most times, it is 5 minutes from my house. Warren is nice, but a bit expensive for me except for once or twice a year.

Hybrids: Cleveland HALO Hybrids 19*, 22*

Irons Snake Eyes Python O/S irons (I carry 5,7,9,A irons)

I have an advanage, my Dad works at Warren! I play Warren with my dad less than I would pay to play Erskine. I usually play Erskine a couple times a year.

My area to-do list this year is: Juday Creek, Whittaker Woods (taking Dad there for his B-day) in New Buffalo and Angel's Crossing in Vicksburg.

I may try to get to Hawkshead in South Haven, but it's not in my price range.

You will enjoy Juday Creek...a bit of water but a nice course, challenging, too.

We have lots of great courses at very reasonable prices around here...even Warren and Blackthorn are very reasonable compared to like courses around the US.

I had to look around to figure that one out too. Go into the where you edit your signature. On the right hand side are a bunch of smiley faces. Click the {more} tab under them and scroll down. You'll see them.

    • I appreciate that you have taken the time to come back and update. Based on what was previously discussed I feel like the points were; forged, feel good, price, and possibly players distance. If you like the "looks" of those Maxfli irons and if price is a major point, then going straight to the source, Maltby, might make sense. Specifically, the TS3 iron. I was looking into this myself and found some reviews: Fit2YouGolf, Lets Play Thru, and ELITE FIT GOLF. As per your update I found the Maxfli to be ~$1300 fitted the way I wanted. Where the TS3 with the same fitting and assembled by Golfworks was less than $750. I suppose the downside is to actually hit the iron you will need to get lucky and find someone in your golf circle who will let you hit theirs or order a 6 or 7 iron to test. However, the way I look at that is being equivalent to some fittings. If you like the results and buy, then the fitting is free, otherwise the price of the fitting is a sunk cost. If name brand is important, then I submit for your consideration - THE BEST OVERALL IRON of 2024...... FACT !! 😉 A bit tongue in cheek that but also, I feel some good points were discussed.
    • Day 150 1-10 focus on arching the wrist and getting the ball to go left. Recorded, hit foam balls.
