For some reason today the course superintendent has one, that's right only one, sprinkler going on every hole.  Watering the fairways just in front of the greens, we are guessing in anticipation of some really hot days ahead.

We joked it was a new training method to make sure you weren't short of the green 🙂

Penalty for missing the green short today on any green is being soaking wet the rest of the round.  With an additional soaking every time you are short.

Just a new type of "horizontal"  water hazard, where no drop, or penalty is required. Play on.........

Since reading @iacas LSW book last summer been aiming for the middle of the greens even when the flag is front as in the pic above anyway so I didn't mind so much. I only was short and in the drench zone once.

The complaining from one of the guys I was playing with "I just can't believe how short I'm hitting all my approach irons today" was epic!!
