Hi All

Just something I've been wondering about regarding ball trajectory with the driver: What is the difference between using a higher (or lower) launching shaft versus using a clubhead with more (or less) loft? I mean in general, are there advantages in terms of carry and/or total distance or counteracting side spin in one or the other?

Thanks.

the higher the loft the less side spin the clubface will create on the ball at impact, as for shafts the higher the kick point the lower the ball will go, so if you are looking to get the ball up more go with a shaft with a low kick point.

Yes, I get that more loft or a lower kick point are 2 ways to get a higher trajectory. Or less loft and a higher kick point for a lower trajectory. I am asking what are the other effects, if any, between adjusting loft vs shaft. Thanks.

Loft has a greater impact than kick point. (usually paired with a softer tip). Low kick point shafts are really not a good idea for above average swing speeds (98+) since accuracy can be negatively impacted for those golfers. I believe for higher speed golfers more loft is the first choice if they hit it to low.
