For those interested I thought we could have a thread for poetry. Poetry has been a real passion for me. It’s about the only thing I’ve had a natural talent for. Anyway, I’ll start with one of my own.

Amongst The Blue

 

The waves come a-crashing.

   Float she does on years of turmoil, thickened skin from fighting happiness.

   Dive into the sapphire water.

Laugh with the starfish as they mourn the loss of relevancy.

   Lost at sea they say. She's not. 

Only the lost feel she doesn't belong.

   She plays with jellyfish and admires their transparency, not caring what dangers lie within.

  Life around her craves her life force, so exuberant. They cannot hear the storm deep within.

   She hears it. And at one time was swallowed by it.

   The waves come a-crashing.

She laughs. And the starfish laugh with her, for, she has made them relevant.

   And into the sapphire water she dives, not lost.

  Mourned by sea.

In the desert
