The legendary sports writer, a Golf Digest staffer and member of the World Golf Hall of Fame, died on Thursday at age 89

I never cared much for his books, but I greatly enjoyed his tweets and many of his regular articles.

Damn! That was some real tasty writing from Golf World. But, I find it illustrative that the biggest laugh lines, or most profound phrases were Jenkins' own!

Bitingly funny.  From his "fake interview w/Tiger article:"

DJ:   You must have fired Marko. Don't hear much about him these days.

TW:  Who?

DJ:   Mark O'Meara. Your old buddy.

TW:  The name sounds familiar.

DJ:   Marko was your best friend in golf at one time.

TW:  I'm sorry, I can't place him. Did he play the tour?
