  1. I have the superfast 2.0 in a 4W and could not be happier. I can take it 240 off the tee consistently. Last round I got on in 2 on a 465 par 5 off a short drive that I hit left off the fairway and only went about 220. I was able to hit a draw to get around some trees and got 240 down hill to the green. It actually rolled across into the fringe, I chipped on and sank the putt for birdie. I would give it a try or maybe the TP model, I love that club.
  2. Why on earth would you want to carry your bag? I jsut don't get it. My clicgear does the grunt work and I jsut enjoy the course.
  3. I'm about a 20 or so and play Mizuno Mp-33. I started with Burner Plus irons. The blades immediately felt great and after a round or two I was hitting down on the ball and just loving that pure shot feeling. I even love the long irons. My putting is a work in progress and the biggest hinderance to my HC, my driving can be a little erratic day over day as well. Worry about which clubs you can hit and stop telling other what they should be playing.

    Watches?

I worry that they shock will ruin an automatic movement so i dont wear my regular watches but may get a Garmin S1
  5. light rain and a umbrella w/ click gear and its game on
  6. Same thing happened to me. I was playing a reg flex Diablo and it jsut got all whippy on me over time/as my swing got faster and iI started slicing like a boomerang. I got fitted for a stiff SF 2.0 and probably have sliced maybe 3 times in 10 rounds..maybe. My uneducated guess it depends on more than just swingspeed and more about when you turn and how quickly you can apply power.
  7. http://www.amazon.com/Izzo-Big-Daddy-Insta-Net-7-Feet/dp/B001P80Z06/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&qid;=1288975111&sr;=1-17 I have this. Its wedged into my garage and it works great. Not sure how it would work free standing but the price is right.
  8. I play with Winn Midsize grips. I had the oversize on an older set and it was fine, I have big hands XL glove. I like the midsize grips a lot.
  9. I carry a 3H TM Rescue and 4W Superfast 2.0.
  10. I can’t really fathom playing with all the same equipment for a number of years. Getting new stuff is at least half the fun of golf. To each their own but I need to fiddle around. Just make sure you get good prices and then if you need to sell you’ll get the majority of your money back and you can roll it into the next toy.
  11. Hit them. Doesn't matter what anybody thinks other than you. I knew immediatley that the 2.0 was the one and the R11 was not for me. You may be the opposite.
  12. I just bought some mp-33 irons off of craigslist for 170 USD and could not be happier. The AP2's feel awful imo. Blades are not hard to hit at all, at least for me. And in taller grass they are far easier to get at the ball then some chunky clown club. My handicap is no where near yours.
  13. I had one and it was a good experieince and it was free pending a purchase of equipment from them, I also got a good price.
  14. The TM Superfast 2.0 is pretty awesome.
  15. I would get the Wilson Staff Di9 irons. I've seen them for as low as $199 on sale and they are nice and you have to trust that they are made to the same standards as the other guys. I'm often tempted to grab a set.
  16. I have a Rife barados but I putted terribly with it on the course. I got a Ping Redwood anser for pretty cheap and haven't looked back.
  17. The white color is a non issue after 10 swings or so....
  18. I play their tour milled wedges and I like them a lot. I wish the black ones were out when I got mine but I paid no higher than 70 and as low 32 brand new per wedge.
  19. whatever story you need to tell the wife to justify new clubs is fine by me.
  20. My longest drive was 283 but it felt like it had to be 400 yrds
  21. Well swing speed is not the only thing that determines drive length, my launch angle came down and my spin was in the 3k range with the reg flex which caused ballooning.and you are comparing carry distance to total distance. Also, my gps measured on course drives were taken when the temps were in the low 40's. I think the gains I saw are realistic considering the increase in shaft stiffness and that my swing now averaging 103. My reg flex diablo was super mushy and whippy. Me and a buddy are taking off to Vegas late next week for a quick 2 days golf trip, we'll see how it performs then. Sure wish the hybrid would be here by then but I'll be happy enough just to golf in shorts.
  22. Went to one in Seattle recently, it was my first. All in all not toooo bad but not awesome. Aside from Demo row where you could hit all the new stuff, it was basically a ton of resort vacation booths and assorted random crap. The product that was there wasn't priced any better then you can find everyday and some of the older used stuff was priced like they were on crack. It was like 12 bucks to go hit a bunch of stuff and to think about golf on a really windy cold day.
  23. Driver gets here in a week but the Rescue doesnt get released until 3/15. Eh I'm ansty but it's 29 degrees for the high today.
  24. I've been playing golf for nearly a year now and have been using a regular flex Callaway Diablo 10 degree driver that I grabbed out of the $99 bucket at a local golf shop. It did well but now that my swing speed is at a 100 now and the regular flex was just super whippy, which meant some short, some long bombs and that they were genreally all over the place. I tested the Superfast 2.0, R11 and the Diablo Octane all with Stiff shafts. My control club had a mean total distance of 245.4 w/ the best being 256 w/ a clustering diameter of 63 yards. Those numbers were right in line with what I see on the course. Diablo octane 9.5 - hated it. never got situated right, club head spread was lower, shot dispersion was all over the place. I jsut did not like it at all. R11 9 - liked it better mean total yardage jumped to 263 w/ the best being 268 with a shot cluster of 40 yards. better but still felt like I would need to tinker to get it right. Then the clear winner was the Superfast 2.0 9* w/ Fujikura Blur which I believe is the stock shaft. Right away I was comfortable at set up and I jsut wanted to get after the ball and I had the confidence to do it. Mean total distance was 273 w/ the best coming in at 277 and the best part shot dispersion cluster of 15.4 yards. I can really use a 275 drive right down the middle in my game. He pushed to get a 4W and 3 hybrid to round it out. I've been wanting a 3 hybrid for a while. I have been playing with 4i and then go to a 5W and 3W which I am not confident with. Some days I crush it and others I slice really bad. I didnt order the FW but I hit the new Rescue 11 and new I needed it in my bag. I'll get around to the FW down the road a little bit. All in all it was a good experience. I didn't feel like I was getting bullshitted. The driver felt great right away. He did measure my hands and is having hte grips built up a little. I hope thats not weird to get used to. oh also the fitting was free and he beat the local guys price by a few dollars.
