  1. I just ordered the Vessel VLS DXR stand bag. Comes in at 3.9 lbs, superb construction. A bit pricey but I carry 4-5 times a week, 6 months a year. My Sun Mountain 2.5 gave out and fell apart. VLS DXR Stand Experience ultra lightweight comfort with the next generation of our lightest, full-featured stand bag, the VLS DXR. Crafted from DXR (Diamond X-PAC Ripstop) nylon and specialized features, such as an...
  2. I am interested in this topic. I am getting ready to purchase a new electric trolley after using a Cart-tek for 6 years and MGI with AI is one of the brands I'm considering. This causes me pause in the MGI decision. Most of the people I know who have MGI love it and I haven't heard of this continuing after replacement of the controller. What brand did you end up getting?
  3. I also use the quote when facing a 50' putt and no one believes it can go in, I just tell them, "The ball has to go somewhere. Why not in the hole?"
  4. Just heard this yesterday: That shot was a Janet Reno. Not attractive but very effective!
  5. Thanks for the feedback. That is what I am thinking. I'm going to give that a try.
  6. I went to my local simulator yesterday for a 'recreational' round of golf. While there and warming up, my pro asked if I had hit the new TM SIM2 driver yet. Nope. Well, after 20 balls with the SIM2 and my older XXIO X, I ordered the new SIM2. Then, just for fun, I asked about fairways and hybrids to compare to my Ping G 4 hybrid, 3 and 5 woods. I loved them all the new SIM2s. My pro suggested I try the SIM2 7 wood to replace the hybrid - same loft. Wow - more consistency, more height, more distance, less roll out. So, now I'm considering replacing the 4 hybrid in my bag with a 7 wood. I'm a little concerned the 7 wood won't be as versatile as the hybrid but I thought I would ask the braintrust of this forum. Comments? TIA
  7. Looks like a great cart. I've been using the Cart-tee for 4 seasons. Perfect? No, but very close to it. I like the back wheel and the remote. I've got over 150 rounds with it, still using the original battery. For someone looking at this thread because you're interested in a remote cart, I'd highly recommend the Cart-tee as another great option to MGI.
  8. I use my SW (56) 80% of the time. If I have to get it up and over a bunker or if I'm really short sided, I'll try a flop shot with my 60. I feel very confident I can put the 56 within 3-4 feet of the pin which is why it is my goto club.
  9. This topic is so timely for me. I'm currently at 7.5 and have been very consistent in the low 80's, occasional 75, occasional 87. Shot 93 on Tuesday. I started the round with a 3 putt from 12 feet. Totally threw off my mojo and I never recovered. I have to work on the triggers and not letting them bothering me. Thanks for this thread.
  10. I haven't been able to find anything on this forum so I thought I would ask. Have any of you bought/worn shoes from G/Fore? They look very comfortable and sound stable. TIA
  11. I'm happy to report that the lessons are starting to pay off. My hcp is back down to 9.6 after shooting up to 11.6. I feel like my swing is a bit more consistent and I'm missing less that I did before lessons. I practice every day, hitting 50-100 balls on days I don't play. I'm sure I'm doing it exactly right but at least I'm feeling better about my game. My partner and I won our member-member this weekend. Paid for my lessons. The key is for the movement to become part of muscle memory so I don't have to think about the mechanics on the course.
  12. Thanks for all of the replies. I have been working hard on the range and have been playing better. HCP went from 8.4 to 11.4 and is now back to 10.1, all in 3 weeks. The good news is that the ball striking has improved and I see light at the end of the tunnel - hope it's not a train.
  13. Probably a good idea not to post but my club frowns on not posting. I am practicing a bunch and I think it's just going to take some time.
  14. I've had 2 lessons over the past 2 weeks with lots of 'practice' time spent at the range. The lesson was great but has caused a relatively significant change in my swing (plane issues - duh). As a result, my hcp index has ballooned from 8.4 on June 1 to 10.8 today. I know I'm working on the right things but it's pretty depressing. Any of you experience this and, what is a realistic timeline to turn it back around? Probably too personal of a question but I thought I throw this out there. TIA
  15. I'm intrigued by these but don't want to spend $200 to find out they won't work for an old guy. If you have a set in your garage you aren't using anymore and want to free up some space, let me know.
  16. I thought GG was fantastic. I have/had over 300 rounds on it and it really helped me focus my practice. I wish someone (Arccos/Garmin) would buy them.
  17. I gave up on GG - switched to Arccos. Not without its problems but I think a lot more stable as a company.
  18. You must have some insight because they are certainly acting like it. Edited: the site is back up, for now
  19. Lots of discussion at THP that Gamegolf might be shut down.
  20. I've had it with GameGolf. Site is down again and there's no evidence they're going anywhere. So, I purchased 2 sets of Arrcos Gen 2 sensors, one for each set of clubs. Does anyone know if one Arrcos account can handle 2 sets of clubs or do I need to set up 2 accounts like I did in GameGolf? Thanks
  21. Looks like it's down again today, 4/7
  22. I belong to 2 courses here in Colorado. I walk one of them every time I play (unless I'm playing a scramble tournament) and the other is not walkable. The walkable course is open now, with specific rules. Many ride that course, one person per cart, 6' distance, etc. The other course is not open yet but we have a private cart for that one. It won't affect my play at all.
  23. works today. Thanks!
  24. Still no bueno for me, either on the mobile app or via the website. Bummer. Fortunately, my son helped my download all 300 rounds I have on it so I can write some sort of analytics routine to extract the data. I wish Garmin would buy the software and use GG analytics instead of that terrible Garmin Connect.
  25. I've not been able to login to Gamegolf.com for the past couple of days. Does anyone know if the site is still active and if the company is still around?
