If you live near Birmingham, there are 13 events that the regional Golfweek tour are putting on in that area. Also, I would guess that the Alabama golf association has lots of tournaments too. You'll have to play tournament golf to get better at tournament golf.

Where in the southern U.S. do you live? You could check out something like the "Golfweek Amateur Tour" to find some good tournaments to play that will help you get used to playing in tournaments on different courses. Amateur Golf Tour

That would work about as well as a driveway marker from Lowe's or Home Depot when compared to Tour Sticks.

Of course you should go play. Trick to compete in a scramble though, is bringing a pencil with an eraser and being the last ones to turn in your scorecard.

So far a I have improved one percentile point from last year and am firmly entrenched as "exactly average" at the 50th percentile.

Hey there! I live in Rocky Mount and have played a lot of golf at Ayden, Bradford Creek, Brook Valley, and Greenville Country Club. We'll have to try and hook up some time. I belong to Birchwood in Nashville. Two other courses you should check out in your area are Ironwood and Cutter Creek.

Stretch's my swing thread started getting off topic when discussion turned to several pros who swing differently yet all are successful. I need to put out the disclaimer that I work with the Golf Evlolution/5SK guys so I have my own ideas. I would be interested in what others around here have to say.

I apologize for the mistake. It was 25 putts that day. I had a lot of one putt bogies and chipped the ball close all day. When you miss as many greens as I do, you get a lot of practice.

I had 20 putts and shot 80 not too long ago. The better chipper you are, the fewer putts you'll have. I have also had 37 putts and shot 73.
