I have to disagree.... Try a few blade sets out. The technology has come a long way for these also. Nevermind your handicap. It goes along with ball striking. Some 8 handicappers strike the ball great and have a bad short (scoring) game. I love the muscle back blades, and the workability is so mush easier then a cavity back. I went back and forth with the Mizuno MP60's for about a month. I hit the Nike forged blades better...(even the mis hits seem better????). All you can do is hit everything that appeals to you many times. Not trying to start a war or anything....just try them

Tough decission.... I just went through it myself. I wanted the Ping G5 with the Prolaunch S65 shaft.... until I hit it :) I hit all the clubs you have listed except the X460.(not a Callaway driver fan) I ended up with the Cleveland Hibore XL 10.5 with the tour shaft. A little different sound, but long and straight for me. (97mph with a 14 degree L.A.) I carry it around 250 or so.

Wow.... I use a Nike One Platanum. Seems to be good distance and all around good spin. I have tried many other upper line balls, and don't see a lot of difference.(maybe 5 -10 yds at best?) I laser my shots all the time and only avg around 250-260.(I am one of the middle long hitters around here). My swing speed is 96-98 with a 13-14 degree launch angle. I wish I could get the 290 avg like a lot of the guys have posted. Maybe back to the gym?????

about 30/32 is good It changes on how I am hitting my irons...good equals more putts bad equals more chip and runs....translates into one putts

Sorry guys...you are right. I guess I was remembering it wrong. I had someone bring that up in a tourney about 10 years ago or so...

I have one .... It is not legal to touch your line between the ball and the hole with your putter. A lot of people don't know this rule. You can only use your putter to tap down fixed ball marks. If you sweep at leaves or anything, it is a penalty.

I want to shoot in the 60's in a tournament. I am 40 as of October. (this is about my prime where the head smartness catches up with the ability) I've shot as low as 67 , but my low tourney round is 72. Maybe this is the year??????

I play all I can... about 12 this year including club events. I wish we had a team format thing like the Rider Cup. I love the stroke play tourneys, but I also like playing team stuff like low ball low total.

I try to think about the start of the down swing staying on target. I always work on straight back and straight through. Before every shot, even the putts..... I think LOW AND SLOW

That's the one I have... Works great and is very light. I carry about 50% of the time depending on the course

I wouldn't even think of looking at a club due to the fact a pro is playing it. They are no where near the same as the off the shelf items. I seen Vjay's numbers on his Hi-bore. 7.5* loft and six degrees open or something like that.....
