Well it's with sad regret that I say I have to hold off on the workouts for now. I was helping a neighbor with some construction this weekend and totally threw my back out. I've been advised to hold off on any strenuous activities until my back has had a chance to recover. I've been in contact with Grant and he's been very helpful, he's even willing to leave my workout open until I get back to normal. I have enjoyed the first few days of the workout and think it will really help my golf game in the long run, I can't wait to start again. Thanks for the opportunity and willingness to help! (That's what I get for helping my neighbor!!!)

These are awesome, hoping to get one ordered. Would be super cool for a Hole in One celebration. -
I have for sale a used set of Ben Hogan CFT Edge irons, the set make up is 5 iron through E Wedge. Stock stiff shafts and upgraded lamkin crossline tour grips, about half dozen rounds on the grips. They are used but still have some life left in them. I tried to take as many pics as I thought would help, if you'd like specific pics please let me. Pricing is $175 plus shipping, or best reasonable offer. Trade offers are Taylormade ghost putters

Just finished day one this morning, wow, there were some nice exercises involved, I really like using the medicine ball. I can really feel how some of the muscles used will translate with the golf swing. As another side note Grant and I had a great conversation about how athletic the golf swing is and once he started using the technical terms I really got a better understanding about how much is involved in the golf swing, it's quite complicated to say the least!

Just got off the phone with Grant, what a super nice guy, he gave me all the info and details I needed to get into the new program and start my new workout plan. He was very nice and very helpful, he even offered up his email and phone numbers so I could ask any questions that arise. From first glance the workouts seem like they might be a little challenging for me, but when you go from almost no workouts to some, it seems like a big jump. I'm hoping to start tomorrow, I have access to almost all workout equipment I'm going to need, but I've been wanting to try a 24 hr fitness type center and this may just be the push I need to give one of them a shot. It looks to be a good mix of harder and easier workouts. I can't wait to start. I'm hoping to publish at least once a week updates and hopefully more often depending on my schedule and how things are progressing. As far as the readers go, anything specific you all want to know about the workouts and the progress we will be making?

I'm going to give the Azinger program a try this year. For $.99 it seems like a great deal! -
I'm testing a midsize on my driver, don't know if it'll stick around that long, but i love oversize grips on my putter, I even have them add more tape underneath to make it even bigger!

Bad backs run in my family, does anyone have any good swing thoughts and tips to help people with bad backs? I know exercise will help, but it's inevitable that my back will go bad. I just want to make sure I get into some swing thoughts that won't kill my back!!!

Has anyone tried these shoes while playing golf. I'm very intrigued on how they would work and feel. Traction seems like it may not be the greatest if the grass was wet, but I've hit on the range barefoot and it was very revealing. I'd walk barefoot if it wasn't for so much crap all over the course. I don't mean that literally!

I just got golfscape for my last round and found out that the new golfshot version connects with it, so I picked it up as well. I think I've now got an awesome tandem to use every round! -
Played a birthday round yesterday, happened to be my first round of the year, shot 45/45, par 70. Didn't play the greatest, left a lot of putts out there, but really need to get my short game and iron play back in the groove!

I'm located in Lincoln, Nebraska. I was wondering what's the best way for me to get lessons/feedback on my swing and get some help? I've read the book and watched the DVDs and other swings online, but I was hoping for someone else to look at my swing. Any advice on how to get advice would be greatly appreciated.

I played 18 a local pub course this morning and they're still finishing some of the winter/spring clean up, so on the 17th tee box there were pine needles everywhere. It was actually a little fun, because they made some weird noises as I was walking over them.

What Headphones Work Well for Golfing???
SlapShotGolfer replied to TheGeekGolfer's topic in Golf Talk
I use the standard apple earbuds that came with my iphone and have found them to work great. I love listening to pandora radio while playing when there really isn't anyone else out on the course. Wish I could do that more, i seemed to be really, really relaxed! -

True Tour vs Skechers

I wear a pair of those sketchers now and they are quite comfortable, but I don't know if I'd walk 18 in them! -
My biggest gripe with course conditions is when I pay quite a premium to play a course and then it is in horrible condition. I played a course recently that charge low three figures to play with a cart, wouldn't want to walk this course! And it had rained in the days previous and almost every bunker still had standing water in it, and there was quite a bit of standing water in the middle of the fairways. I lost more balls in the swamps of the standing water than I would normally with my slice!

The r11 looks awesome, can't wait to add one to my bag. If you don't mind me asking what driver did you play before?
