I want to add another dimension to this. The traditional irons had higher center of gravity. It seems to me that the modern irons are geared for misuse. Its like ' please try to top these irons...you will like the result'. Especially those big broomstick super GI irons.

Pitching in from 80 yards for eagle. I must be pretty rare. I got an eagle before I had my first birdie. I hear you saying fluke..but no, just pure talent.

I have been working on this recently. I was getting hung up on my backswing and not getting good results. Right now, all I try to think about is the initial line of the ball. Seems to work a little better for me right now.

Right now, it is chunking my 60*. You have this beautiful vision of the ball landing within 3 feet of the pin and stopping dead and then THUD..its a killer. But I have also chipped them in with my 60 and left several within inches. Its a fatal attraction.

I honestly cannot see how the patriots can be beat. Better passing game, better running game, better offensive line, probably as good a defensive line, better receivers, better q-back, better coach..come on..it should be over by half-time.

I think I need to steer this thread back on road. I was not talking of tv ratings. I was referring to world golf rankings. please refer to the link especially the section which refers to the number of golfers in the top 100 from US, Europe and international. I understand that any 60% marketshare is tough to retain especially in a growing market. Is that what is happening to golf?. exponential growth throughout the world rendering old statistics meaningless?.

I did a little exercise in my sparetime (aka work). If you take the trend of the past 18 years for which world golf rankings have existed, it is a downward trend. From a high of 60 out of the top 100 in 1991, if the present trend continues, the number might be as low as 25 out of 100 in the next 24 years. Is this a true reflection of what is happening in the golf world today? Does Tiger's dominance mask the decline of golf in the US?
