I guess a fat man in the heat of the summer shouldnt put to use a product that helps him....cause it doesnt look good to some people...sheesh.
-
Well you qualify to try to qualify.Im sure theres a thousand golfers that can get that far. If youve ever seen the winning scores of the qualifying tourneys for the US Open and Open though then you know youll never see a scratch or two handicap competing in the actual opens.
-
Im assuming youre talking about the US Open, and im gonna take a guess and say nobody here has played in one. You gotta do better then scratch to qualify into that monster.

Looking into a Golf Membership - Have Some Questions
digger21 replied to sioutdoors's topic in Golf Talk
I just moved a little bit more south of my ex home in Parker, co and literally live right in between two great MEMBERSHIP courses. The Pinery (Mcgetrick teaches there) and Pradera. Both courses always rated high in TOP COURSE rankings and I cant play either of them. Gotta cross my fingers on that lotto -
This is the worst thread ever created...and I voted No.

I think the best part about this thread is the people who respond to him seriously. I love this guy, i dont believe a word he says, but thats why hes so great.

Im gonna go pick it up in a couple days on my day off. Ive been looking forward to this game.

Idiots out there just say he's fake and puts on an act. Thats pretty funny cause this "Act" of his has been going on for the last 20yrs. Youd think people by now would just realize Phil is Phil. Hes a nice guy, who KNOWS how to talk. Its not rehearsed, but hes a very smart man and knows how to choose his words. What would you rather him be like...Sabbatini? All I know is Phil dedicates a lot of time to his fans and to charity, how you could hate that when most other golfers dont give a damn is beyond me. To each his own I guess.

Thats one I was actually looking into. It seems well made and a couple good reviews on it. 26 bucks though

Titleist 755 vs Taylormade r7 tp
digger21 replied to oneil003's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
The R7 TPs have the same lofts as all other players clubs. The only strong lofted irons they put out were the XDs and those CGBs or whatever they call em. The callaways are fun to hit but I wouldnt spend that much on them. If I were you id go on Ebay and buy some R7 TPs , and you can find a set with the shafts you want, for probably much cheaper. In fact I know you can get R7s w/ project X shafts on there for $600 or less. -
Id buy new wedges but I really love mine. So even buying the same exact wedge wouldnt help. Ive grown to love my wedges. Im gonna go into a home depot and look at thier filing tools and maybe see if I can come up with my own. Ill look for a jewelry set too.

My wedges are getting a little worn and was wondering if anybody has used the groove resharpener tools out there? Like the ones all over ebay or the one at groovesharpener.com . Thanks

Im down for playing in rain AS long as there is no lightning. Like previously stated though, there usually is in Colorado. I tried playing at the end of winter earlier this year and there was a light rain, but everytime id hit out of the fairway the water off the grass would freeze over my club. Gotta love colorado.

Which irons should I replace with hybrids?
digger21 replied to clickagent75's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Well its a matter of which long irons you have trouble hitting and would like a little more help with. I personally dont like hybrids and would prefer to hit an iron so I usually only take out my 3 iron when I use a hybrid. Most only take out thier 3irons or 4 irons, however more people are now taking out thier 5 and 6 irons too. Its all a matter of preference really -

I pick the R7 TPs. My new love. -
He just said that Tiger probably had other reasons to not be there, and indicated that 10 million dollars didnt matter that much to Tiger which is why he wasnt there...or somethin to that effect.

To answer your question about the colored lines picture. Just try to swing on the plane of the yellow line and go to your finish. Assuming your finish is ok then you will produce a nice draw. Dont get discouraged though because everything takes time. As for that baseball method. I dont understand hitting to the shortstop, because if youre lined up like that then your swing should feel like youre starting it out right of second base, nowhere near shortstop. Maybe im not understanding it, but shortstop would be nowhere near your swing...haha gotta love baseball in golf.

http://www.auroragov.org/AuroraGov/D...Golf/index.htm Saddlerock and Murphy Creek are the only two I play off that list and consistently. Lone Tree Golf Club is my favorite to play though http://www.golfcolorado.com/linkfram...-frameset.html

If im ever in that position I try to hit a low draw anytime its possible. For me that keeps the ball about 10ft above the ground for its airtime and then a good amount of roll.

This guy is like the Carrot-Top of the sandtrap. Enjoyable in short bursts.

I forget who it was announcing for the bridgestone but I remember Tiger being in the rough and the announcer saying there is absolutely no way he can get to the green from his position, and he kept repeating it, and then Tiger goes and puts it 20ft from the pin about 30ft deep onto the green....Announcers are crazy sometimes.
-
Ive been a fader all my life. However I spent this year retooling my swing into a draw and definently love the new swing. All my life id picture and imagine shots as draws, however I always hit fades. Now I picture a shot and can hit it.

That doesnt really get under my skin. Those are the types that will be hackers for life. Being true to yourself will help you in the long run. Telling people youre a 2 handicap when you never break 80 will only hurt you, along with bragging about your drives. Because we all know the good players would rather have accuracy then distance. Then again with accuracy and smart play, the distance will come.
-
There should be an option for CG10 cause thats the greatest wedge cleveland produced.
-
This swing is rediculous. Maybe if youre a hacker and dont care about getting better, itll be ok. For somebody who wants to go somewhere in golf, youd never think about a stupid swing like this. You cant work the ball, you have no tempo, youre rythme is just aloof. Stupid idea and the fact that a magazine made an article about this proves that we've just about run out of material for golf magazines. In 10yrs youll probably see this trick regurgitated 5 times over.
