Back in 2005 I was involved in a car accident and I hurt my back and required surgery. I had to go through a lot of physical therapy and couldn't swing a golf club for over a year. I still can't walk 18 holes pain free so I usually ride.
I just finished "Paper Tiger" by Tom Coyne. He saves up some dough, moves to Florida, hires a coach and decides to dedicate all his time to improving his game. For one year all he does is practice so he can try to make it through Q school. Very good book.
As you can see in my sig, I'm Callaway crazy! My first set of "real" clubs that my dad bought me were Callaways. Ever since then, I've been pretty loyal. Plus they have a trade in trade up program, so I can buy newer equipment and get decent money for my old stuff.
My squadron (I'm in the Air Force) held its biannual golf tourney today. It was a 4 man scramble format. It had 2 nice little add ons to it. Each team member could purchase 5 mulligans to use during the round. Also each team was given about 10 feet of string that was used to finish any close shots or putts. For example, if you're putting for birdie and miss it by 3 inches, you would cut off 3 inches of string and mark down a birdie. My team won with a score of 10 under.
I LOVE my mack daddy 60* wedge! To me the spin that I get with it is worth having to get new balls more often. I play the HX Tour 56. The club really eats those things up.
i play at least 2 rounds a week. I've been wearing these shoes for aobut 4 months now. They are still in great condition. They also come in wide sizes if you're afraid of stretching them.
what are some other good courses in WA? I haven't lived here that long. I've played both courses at hawks prairie which I also liked. I think I'm going to get the oki card.
I wear the all black powerbands and they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Not just golf shoes, but shoes in general. My feet used to kill me after 18 with my old shoes. I have easily played 36 in these with no problems. If I could wear them evey day, I would.
i voted for semi snob. I start every round with a new ball. unless it gets really scuffed or hits a cart path or something, I'll play the same ball for 18 holes.
If you haven't played Washington National, I would highly reccomend it. It is worth every penny. It's the home course for the University of Washington golf team.

My foursome also has a tee time to play at Chambers Bay. It opens on June 23rd. It is a walking only course. You can request a caddie to carry your bag. I'm really excited about this one.

I ended up buying the callaway x-tour 56* and 60*. I took them to the range near my house that as a nice short game practice area. I really liked the way i was hitting the ball with them. I really fell in love with them today. I played 18 today and WOW! The grooves really eat up my HX tour 56 balls but it is worth it. I was "lucky" enough to get to hit the 56* degree out of a couple green side bunkers. It cuts through the sand like butter. The 60* with the mack daddy grooves is awesome. I was able to stop the ball on a dime from about 70 yards out. I love the 60* around the green. I think this is my new go to club for around the green.
The BB AW is very easy to hit from the fairway. It's also good for your basic chip or short bump and run. You're not going to get any spin with this club on short pitches.
1 last question. I currently carry 12 clubs. Along with the wedge, I want to get a hybrid to take care of the gap beween my 5 wood and my 4 iron. My PW is 45deg and AW is 50deg. I definitely want to get a 56deg SW, but do I need a 60deg wedge?
