  1. I still hate Fowler's worse....that stupid hat makes him look like a fool. Rory, just trim it up and keep wearing regular hats.
  2. Didn't read all 91 pages, but my thoughts on Big Break Disney Golf I liked the players pretty much, but not sure I liked the overall show.....seems like I have liked some other seasons better. I kind of wanted Tony to win, I didn't think he came across THAT arrogant. I mean he was confident, but many of his comments on the show about other players were pretty factual and not egocentric on his part. I thought Mike was a D-Bag, but not as bad as Blake.....that guy is a monumental jerk. I was impressed at Mike's comeback....he was on fire! Kevin actually played a pretty good round (IMHO). Considering how is his always scrambling to save par. His short game is hot.....and so is his wife!! I'm ready for Big Break to go back to the ladies....or do a coed thing.
  3. I'm not judging him.....I just have no sympathy for him. Of course we don't have any idea of what its like to have his money and power. He practically has presidential power. His situation could be compared to ultra-conservative politicians who present a holier-than-thou persona and are closet freaks! I'm not dogging conservatives, I am one, but am saying, you reap what you sow, Tiger. He is due some come uppance for this muck he's gotten himself into. You said it yourself, with his track record....this wasn't a one time, oops-I-tripped-and-my-pants-fell-down kind of thing....he went to great depths to keep his privacy and keep this behavior going on. Clinical sex addiction? Maybe....Getting a pass on this one? No. = Tiger hiding
  4. Oh, its like a train wreck....this whole Tigergate, and thread....I can't stop looking at it, but alas, I have reached the end, thank goodness cause I need to get back to work. A few thoughts on the many posts: 1. Of course its his own business and he doesn't owe anyone other than his wife and family an apology......if he were joe schmoe....he makes massive money being a company spokes person, from Gatorade, Tag H, Accenture, etc. His inappropriate behavior has an effect on these companies. He has earned about 10% of his wealth from winnings and the rest is from sponsors. Its not all about HIM!!! 2. He should "man up" and make some sort of public appearance to save what little face he has left after Elin ripped him a new one. He could somewhat diffuse - well not diffuse, but allieviate the media feeding frenzy or some semblance of "saving face." Show some remorse publicly....it will replenish his image immeasurably at this point. Instead, he's hiding on his "Privacy" yacht.....what a dork. 3. He is a total douche nozzle, gutless basterd. He is a complete fraud. Now everyone on the planet knows it. 4. He is an awesome golf specimen - athlete and competitor....and probably will be again. He will play again in 2010 - I'll bet by the Masters, if not before. 5. His marriage? It's all over, but for the crying. She should haul azz with his kids. Buh-Bye, Tigger. You can come to Sweden to see them...every other weekend. 6. These are some of my opinions on the matter....and remember what they say about opinions, they're like azzholes....everyone has one and they all stink except yours!!! Thanks for posting....now back to work!
  5. I'm not sure what my injury was - rib or muscles in between, but I hurt it - washing my truck of all things....on a ladder trying to reach across the roof for a sponge....heard a pop and thought....oh sheet! After hobbling down off the ladder, I could still breathe and thought all was okay. A few days later playing golf on the 10th hole I swung and pop - OUCH!!! I tried playing a couple of more holes, but couldn't finish my swing. I was out about a month? Don't rush it, but you could test it out at the range after 3 weeks? If its broken, that's got to be pretty bad. Good Luck!
  6. I was thinking maybe it was Audubon....the front is in okay shape...some greens are spotty....but the back is in awful shape. I've never played Pine Hills....I played Fox Meadows on Saturday....and it was in surprisingly good shape.
  7. I wasn't suggesting amateurs couldn't judge distance.....a joke on his "internet yardages"..... 80 yd 6-iron....interesting. Sounds like a fun practice "game."
  8. I'm from Memphis too....which course are you talking about??? I might have an idea....public course....REALLY crappy back 9? Would be interested to hear...
  9. Welcome to The Sand Trap, Tiger!
  10. CONGRATS!! That is an awesome feeling. My first sub-90 round was an 81....I kid you not! It was a VERY, VERY long time til I shot sub 90 again and even longer till I shot in the low 80s. I finished that round with a pitch-in birdie, par, par, par. I am still trying to play consistently in the 80s....its hard, for me anyway! Congrats again, and keep practicing!
  11. Going from a 17.9 to a 10 in one season would be a pretty remarkable goal or achievement....I've worked reasonably hard over the last couple of years to get under 20 and am at ~15.9 now. But, I'm 41 and married with a little one....can't exactly pound balls all day. My golf group has commented on my improvements quite a bit....I still have my blow up holes, occasional chipping brain farts, and a 3 putt here or there. So my game has improved quite a bit....I would recommend the chipping and putting practice. You are young and obviously driven....keep at it. We're rooting for you!
  12. Good choice....you made the right decision and won't regret it....
  13. Dude, get the G10s.....not that I'm biased! Seriously, it will make you a better golfer, and even if you "outgrow" them in, more than likely a few years....like 3-5, you can resell them....and upgrade then. Pings hold their value pretty well, I think. P.S. I love my G10s.
  14. Lots of good advice on here.... Some that have/are helping me be a better chipper.... Relax - I read an article by David Ledbetter once - something about relaxing and opening your mouth a little....ie, not clenching your teeth real tight... Loose hands, loose grip Ball in back of stance, and keep your hands pressed forward - Keep your hands in front of the ball Weight on left foot If you finish with a full swing - it really increases the distance of the chip Same thing with a stiff left elbow - better contact, increased distance Don't decelerate....finish through the ball to a full, or semi-full finish. My chipping has improved DRASTICALLY by trying to keep these tips in mind. Good Luck!
  15. Depends - on time and course. Some munis we play don't have a range...in that case, I like to get there early and chip and putt - 30 mins total. If there is a range, I like to hit 30-40 balls, varying clubs PW-Driver. If there is a chipping area, I like to get the feel chipping and then also putting. Like I said, we vary courses from pretty decent to average municipal courses...green speeds can change.
  16. I get one every 3 - 4 rounds? I was 1 foot away from my first hole in one on a par 3 last week.....DOH!!!
  17. Dude....I hate you!!!! Just kidding....that is AWESOME!!!
  18. How'd you get your name.....4 putt??? I think I'm a fairly average putter...give or take. I still get nervous with those "gimmees".....but I'm trying to putt out all the time, unless true gimmee inside of a foot? That said, I feel comfortable inside of 10 feet - comfortable = confident. Not to totally dance around the question, I expect to make 3 footers....and am pretty confident in 5-6 foot range.
  19. Very cool videos!! I'm not sure which I like better....and yes, your hair does look fuller in the second vid.....nexus or rogaine?
  20. Any locals played it yet??? I am local, but have not made it out there.....
  21. I call BS!!!! Speak to the manager and ask for a refund.....totally irresponsible!
  22. I would try, and probably fail, with my 3 hybrid. Funny how most of the lower handicappers, not that I am, are suggesting to play it smart and advance comfortably into the fairway and play it out from there. Good advice!!! I don't know how many times I try to kill it....good or bad lie....and it comes back to bite me on the azz!!
  23. Damn kids!!!! I find it hard to believe....but kid, if you are that good....play by ALL the rules, play it down, take your penalties and start playing tournaments. Go get 'em, Tiger!!!
  24. WOW!!! 314 yds! That's a "tadd" far!!!
  25. I hate being 1 ft short of your first hole in one....DOH!!!!
