  1. 18th hole at Winged Foot which is about 15 minutes from where I live although Ive never played it unfortunately.
  2. If you are going to spend all that time practicing, practice with your wedge and your putter around the greens, I wouldnt be spending all that money on range balls. I go to the range about two to three times a week and I hit a medium bucket which costs about 5 dollars. Thats 15 dollars a week, the rest of the time im chipping around a practice green, hitting sand shots and putting. No need to beat that many balls per week. Maybe what you need to do is come up with a nice practice routine while you are hitting those balls to get the most out of it. Save your money on something else.
  3. Ball position on driver swing is too far back in your stance, move it up a tad to get it maybe just inside your left heel. Also you have an extremely strong grip. That may not be bad for you though, I dont know what your ball flight is like but if you have a problem hooking the ball that could be your answer.
  4. I agree with you 1,000%. I bought them and played with them for three rounds and could'nt get rid of them fast enough. NO FEEL for "players irons" as said above.
  5. I hope your joking. If not read this http://www.usga.org/playing/etiquette/etiquette.html You should take care of the course.
  6. I open my stance slightly, and open the face of the club slightly so that the "bounce" (which is the bottom of the club, the leading edge) will hit the sand first. What I then do is take two practice swings keeping my weight somewhat on my left foot (im righty), then I will look at the tiniest thing an inch behind the ball. I will swing aiming an inch behind the ball and the ball comes out every time usually where I want it to go.
  7. I agree with Joshtpa, there are none out there that will do what you are looking for.

  9. Doesn't make sense to me. The guy is playing the best golf probably of his life and he chooses at this time to skip the majors. I dont get it. Why people don't live for the now and not the future is boggling to me. Who cares about next year, a million things can happen to a person in the matter of a year. Play for now Kenny.
  10. Just a matter of etiquette thats all, no need to get very upset at it though. Like Rotella says, "Anger is the enemy of focus." Did the kid who got mad make the putt, im guessing he did not.

  12. Do you have a tee time? I think you mean the Black and if so tee times are not released for seven days prior to your day of play. I would make one if I were you otherwise you'll be sitting around for a while, esp. if your with a few people. As for parking there is plenty of that there.
  13. The object of the game is getting the ball into the hole and that is what you did. Good job.
  14. Here is my .02. I think any time that you ask people for advice when posting your swing can be both good and bad. The reason I say bad is because you have fifteen people telling you fifteen different things and it can make someone crazy. In saying that here is what I think is wrong. First off at setup your hands are too far behind the ball and your shaft is leaning backwards also. Get the ball a tad bit more in the middle of your stance. Secondly when you set up to the ball stick your ass out more to get more balanced. At impact like someone else said above your whole body is squishing at contact. Third, your coming over the top a tiny bit. Initiate the downswing with your hips and your hips only, not your hands. If you do that then everything will work as a chain reaction and it should cure you coming over the top. Fourth, point your left toe out a little bit at setup, maybe 30 degrees or so because that will help you clear your left hip out of the way on your downswing. That is all I can see. Good luck.
  15. Perry deserves it and will qualify just because of the season that he has had so far. As far as Rocco, completely agree with what Thrash said above. I would enjoy watching him play but he does not deserve it at all.
  16. This probably belongs in Golf Equipment.
  17. DVR'ing it while I run errands. Then tuning into it around 7 to fast forward through all the commercials and all the BS.
  18. I feel that when I get to the top of my backswing the club is in a weird position and I have to manipulate my swing to get it back into the right position on the downswing. It feels shut at the top, not a lot but just a bit. My first instinct tells me that its a grip issue. I have such a weak grip, I dont know if I can get this grip any weaker, both with the left and right hands so I'm not sure if that is going to fix it. It may and I'm just not seeing it, I don't know. Maybe I'm not taking the club back the right way or something. Anyone have any advice or any checkpoints I can do. I must say that I like to fade the ball and live by Hogans Five fundamentals book. In saying that, w/ my grip both the v's point to my chin or even left of my chin just slightly because I had a bitch of a time hooking the ball last year, and I never want those to come back. Any thoughts greatly appreciated. When I go to the range I feel like I get nothing accomplished because the club feels so weird with my swing now.
  19. Work on your short game. The majority of your shots during your round come with the wedges and putter. Become great with them and your scores will drop dramatically.
  20. Top Flite Strata TL Tour. Ive been saying it on here for years now, for the money you cant get a better ball. Just try it once. You'll be hooked. Its the best kept secret for balls in golf.
  21. I re-learned golf last year in the middle of the year. I was a drawer of the ball who usually a few times a round hit a terrible hook. Bought the book, Hogans Five Lessons. Taught me to have a weaker grip, and start hitting a fade off of the tee, changed my game for the better. My point is this...I did'nt just go to anybody because I had this problem. I did my research and went with something that I know would fix my problem. If your taking lessons then there must be a facet of your game that you arent happy with. Just work with that and go from there. Don't completely re-learn the game of golf because of one or two problems. As a 13 index you should'nt have to do that. What are your weaknesses that you are trying to fix.
  22. Congrats...
  23. Last year I was struggling through mental glitches big time and putting. What I did was go on Amazon.com and spend less then 10 dollars and buy the book, "Golf is not a Game of Perfect" by Dr. Bob Rotella. It will talk about the mental side of the game, what to think about when hitting bad shots, how to feel getting on the first tee, a sound putting routine, and talks about if you want to get better at this game, become great with the wedges and the putter and your scores will drop considerably. I recommend you do that.
  24. Hogans power golf or Hogans Five Lessons: The Modern Fundamentals of Golf. Try using the search, this similar thread has been discussed tons of times.
  25. Any time I'm in a slump, which is right now, I'll focus on things such as grip, stance and posture, just making Im sure im doing the little things right. Ill also reference to Rotella's book, Golf is not a game of Perfect. Does the trick for me.
