  1. Yeah, like someone mentioned above www.golfdesk.com is excellent if you are planning a Myrtle Beach trip. I used them last year and everything was absolutely perfect. There were zero hiccups in my trip.
  2. I would say 120 and in. I feel I can put it real close at these distances.
  3. If it were me I would ask for a new set all together, you get a new set of clubs and you want them to be brand new and the right size and all. I wouldnt settle for that, if you wanted a set that didnt fit you and had nicks in it you could have gotten a used set on Ebay. Definitely tell them to send you a new set, sized correctly.
  4. Would love to have facial hair, but job permits to be well groomed. However when im on vacation i get scruffy.
  5. No updates yet, I think they choose on March 27th, ill let you guys know.
  6. Ditto that...
  7. Bunch of babies.
  8. That is a great website, rep points coming your way.
  9. Poor question on national TV to ask someone, doesn't matter if Cink knows it or not or the whole world knows it. You dont ask John Daly, so whats it like being a fat slob, its just rude. There are plenty of other questions to ask Cink that aren't the usual fluff questions. A question like that turns more people off IMO.
  10. Exactly what you just said, low to fade it and higher to draw it. A low tee height promotes a steeper swing, creating a fade. A higher tee height promotes a swing that goes around your body, essential for drawing the ball
  11. I have a titleist fairway wood and the serial number is etched in the hosel
  12. Never saw that article until now, hopefully im the cop they are talking about.
  13. I wouldnt say its more fun when you give it a ride because, like you said, its not fun being in the water our out of bounds or anything like that. The joy of the game to me is taking what you work on out to the course and trying to score the best that I can for that day, not teeing it up and seeing how far I can hit it and having it go in the water or whatever. Playing like that it would be difficult to break 130 out there, plus there is a decent amount of hazards to deal with.
  14. Ebay is definitely the way to go, equipment is about 30% cheaper.
  15. Ive played both Shinnecock and Bethpage, IMO Bethpage is a tougher course. Those are the only two major courses ive played on so I cant attest to other ones mentioned in this thread.
  16. No, the plane does not take off
  17. I signed up for it and just got an email today saying that I am in the top 5% chosen and have made it to round 2 of the qualifications. I have to send them a video of my swing, and a letter of recommendation from the pro a where I have my GHIN membership out of, and then my handicap index card. They said they had over 56,000 entries and only 5% are left. Anyone else get this email? FYI if it ever comes down to it, they vote for the top 5 finalists on March 27th. If I make it that far, vote for me please, you can do so by clicking the link Ben has posted up above. Thanks!!
  18. I agree with Ben 1000%. I had the exact same problem, I could not get rid of a hook to save my life, I read the book and did exactly what he says in it, didnt hit a snap hook after reading it. The book is that good. Buy it used online it may cost you two bucks. Best two bucks youll spend on golf.
  19. If you dont have a christmas list then dont respond to the question, its that simple, and if you do respond, expect to be asked a question about it.
  20. I have a Taylor Made CGB Daytona 1 Putter for sale in the Marketplace on this forum if you guys are interested. Pics are included. Let me know.
  21. I run a charitable organization out of my house and would be happy to give you my home address, ill make sure they go to good use. lol. JK thats cool man ill keep my eyes peeled for something.
  22. At the same level as me basically
  23. Getting from a 3.2 to a 0.0, what do you think the difference was to get to that point? Im a 7.9 and I know I really need to putt better and be more consistent in giving myself birdie opportunities and I think I can make a nice stride in this game.
  24. Well the highest I was this year was an 8.3 and the lowest was 7.6. Crappy putting my last six or so rounds got me to a 7.9 to end the season. There are no more revisions for my golf association. How did you guys do? I started off slow this year, read some amazing books and really started playing the best golf of my life. Then tailed off at the end with a shaky putter, started experimenting with different putters and in the end I ended up using the same putter I began the season with. Its never the sword but always the swordsmen as they say. Today will probably be my last round of the year, (its starting to get real cold up here but today should be around 70) and I get to end the year at Bethpage Black. I cant wait.
  25. I just hit the gym and do lots of stretching. I have a bad back so stretching is critical for me in the winter months, do some weights as well. As far as hitting balls is concerned, I dont even pick a club up until end of February, beginning of March.
