  1. i think he meant 2 inches, not 2 feet, it was a supposed cure for fat shots!
  2. After playing about 5 times a year maximum for the last 3 years I really got back into golf for the last 2-3 months of the season. I had a handicap of 9.3 and I have gotten it down to 8.3 playing some decent stuff. Hopefully if I re-dedicate myself as I plan to I can get down to around 5 next season. If this weekend turns out to have been qualifying I shallbe down to around 7.7/7.9 depending on SSS
  3. Had 75 in a club competition today, delighted!!
  4. Last night, playing the par 5 6th. Around 510 yards dogleg left. Lined with trees. Drive struck great but not enough draw on it. Sails into the trees about 280 yards on the right. Get down there and find it within seconds behind a tree. Pitch out sideways into the fairway, about 210 to go. Pull out a hybrid, good strike again but into the greenside bunker. Catch the bunker shot a bit fat, too much sand, leaving about 15 feet for par, downhill, big swing from the right. Putt was never in doubt! SOLID :)
  5. Pigs was harsh, but I don' t think either of them are particularly attractive, once you look past the fact they play golf
  6. The new SC Fastback and Squareback putters look pretty cool...and small
  7. Odyssey White Hot XG No.9??
  8. Add another 3 wood and putter and shaft to that list and another hybrid is coming....o dear!!
  9. i bought the putter ffs
  10. The British Open = THE OPEN ;)
  11. I have to drive out to an unfamiliar town for work in the morning I know there is a golf store out there and no doubt on my way home I'll be forced to call in and have a look around, and just as likely I'll want a new putter or something, lol Fancied a number 9 odyssey xg for a while but I know there is a black series version coming out, but will I be able to resist tmro? Lol
  12. didnt know my x forged were endo, pleased with that :)
  13. ditto, have changed to the overlap because of my big hands
  14. I hate the big store as well, they just seem so soul-less! If I go there its usually for things like balls or tees as the are usually a bit cheaper. Jut stuff I can pick up off the shelf tbh. I recently grabbed a 906F2 out of Nevada Bobs (UK) as it was going about £35 ($70) cheaper than I'd seen it anywhere else. Only had one in stock and when I pulled it I was shocked it was the right shaft, so I took it straight up and payed. I would never trust any info or club fitting, alterations done in these stores!
  15. Lindeberg, Puma, Lyle & Scott Vintage...I kinda try and stick to these guys!
  16. I'll let you into a little secret, all the big box golf stores care far more about selling clubs than helping your game I shop in my local independant store, which is next door to my office. They let me take out all the clubs I want to try on the course and driving range, let me look at the new stock out in their store room, ask about aspects of my game when I'm in and what I'm working on, and give professional advise on shafts, lengths, club etc basically heloing me pick the perfect equipment. On top of all this they always give me great deals, at or below the big golf stores prices. Always shop local and make friends :)
  17. No idea why you would want a hybrid to "go a long way," thats what a driver is for The g10 has a long but narrow face, certainly not bulky. I has the V2 high launch shaft in it, it stiff, plays like a board but very solid!
  18. I have a g10 and it is a very easy club to use and very solid. Prefered it in testing to the little titleist and the cobra
  19. No, I don't have the money to keep me in golf balls, those would tear pro v's to pieces :)
  20. Not a bad swing at all, my tempo is similar so I'm not really concerned about that. Your swing is too steep rather than being on plane. You are too steep at the top creating an "over the top" swing. Try and get the club more over your right shoulder at the top.
  21. I just ordered a 76g V2 to lower my tragectory a bit. Was tempted to just go whole hog and get the D2 driver but I thought I hould came down on my spending this month as I've already bought 1 Driver 1 3 wood 1 hybrid 2 putters 4 wedges 1 set of irons and thats not to mention, clothing, balls and gloves, lol Now im in the market for the titleist 3 wood!
  22. Anyone use them? I'm looking a titleist fairway wood and the do it with the proforce v2 for £120 www.pricebustergolf.co.uk
  23. The stock shaft is garbage, stick in something a bit heavier (65g) and a bit stiffer.
  24. nah there is no 52 degree spin mill wedge
