I have about 120 rounds on a pair of ecco spikeless shoes. And I walk every round. I walk on the cart path a lot. these shoes are finally worn out. They held up better then my Tiger woods shoes. I have never had any grip issues with them even in damp conditions. You cannot go wrong with ecco. I did have a pair of the biom hydromax shoes that I had to return because the eyelets started to pull out of the leather. Golfsmith warrantied them even after about 30 rounds on them.

Ordered mine last saturday............this is killing me. I go back to Golfsmith nearly every day and hit them just to keep the feel fresh in my mind. They are forgiving and the feel is amazing. And getting KBS tour c taper shafts for no extra charge is the greatest thing I have ever seen. Callaway did it right on this set.

I have used i20 irons for the past 2 seasons. I have put about 300 rounds on them. The only problem to report is after that many rounds the clubs were showing a lot of wear. That is to be expected with that many rounds. My ball flight was way to high with the cfc stiff shafts. I got fitted and put Rifle precision shafts in and that did lower my ball flight. Last weekend I traded them in on a set of Callaway Apex Pro irons with KBS Tour C taper shafts. I haven't gotten them yet so I cannot report on them. The i20/i25 irons are very good. But through my test with the Apex irons I have never hit anything that feels that good and have that good of distance control. I had some regret with trading in the i20's since I have shot my best rounds ever with them but the feeling from those Callaway's is like nothing I have ever felt

I just picked up a 2.0 tour yesterday. I took it out to the range today. I hit 85 balls with it. The worst shot not counting the topped shot was a 30 yard fade. The club is forgiving and long. For me it produced a low penitrating flight which I love. I wasn't even in the market for a driver but the Nike rep gave me some balls to hit it. I had no problem trading in my brand new Mizuno JPX EZ and putting this monster into play. I thought the red and the swoosh would be distracting but in the sun light that thing is sexy!!! I have ever owned a Nike wood but this one is a winner..

Last (Golf) Thing You Bought?
Jazzfan replied to JYB's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
A Nike covert 2.0 tour driver!!!!!! And ordered a set of Callaway Apex pro irons 4-gap with KBS c taper shafts......amazing irons. Golfsmith gave me nearly 1200 bucks trade in with all my old gear so it was a no brainer ....now I need to go back and get a 3 wood -
'Not good enough' for MP 53's?
Jazzfan replied to Prodaytrader's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I have a friend who owned a set of 59's and while we both agreed they are a fanatic club and they look amazing he could not play them. He struggled with those sticks for 6 months. Last week he got to the end of his rope and he asked me to take them out for a round. He wanted to trade me for my i20's so I did. That was one of the hardest clubs I have ever hit. I am an 8 handicap and am no way a good player, but I figured I could get around the course. After a painful day I still managed to shoot an 83 and told him sorry I cannot trade that club scares the crap out of me. After he got over his depression we went to golfsmith and got him into a set of jpx 825's. and after only one round he beat his personal best score by 4 shots and his best score with the 58's by 10. -
I have owned i20's for over a year now. I went from Adams CB2's, I also struggled with a very high ball flight, got them with CFC stiff. I changed my shifts a week before the Wyoming open (huge mistake changing something that big prior to a 3 day tournament). I smeitched to rifle precision 5.5 and my flight seems to have stabilized. In the year since owning them I have finally broken 80, love the clubs!! You won't be disappointed with any ping item!

My new Scorecard holder.
Jazzfan replied to Jspangler's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
Thanks for the post, I have been looking for something like this for a while now. I just didn't want to buy something generic. I will be ordering one on this week!!!! And yours does look good!!! -
Why is the 64* wedge so hated???
Jazzfan replied to hedge ky's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I could never justify taking a slot in my bag for a club that is so limited in its use. My 58 does everything I need it to. If we were allowed to carry 15 clubs I would carry one. -
I game the i20 and it's the only driver that I have kept for over a year, it is a little harder to hit then my friends g20. Being a 24hcp I would advise the g20 just for its forgiving nature.

It makes my eyes bleed, but I am sure it hits like the r11

Nike Vr Covert Driver - What do you think?
Jazzfan replied to Casey's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I don't know if I had a poor opinion of the driver prior to hitting it based on paint and the fact I have never cared for Nike stuff but I believe I did. Watching Rory play with it Dubi I noticed that the driver had a very muted sound compared to Tigers Nike. And when I hit it I did notice that was very muted, I personally like hearing my driver but that's just me. It did seem to be accurate and distance didn't appear to be a problem. Now the paint was horrible with that huge swoosh on the crown, still not as bad as all that Taylomade garbage but it distracted me. I am sure it will sell but ill stick with my simple i20 no adjustments and I love the flat black! -
Clearwater's search for new irons
Jazzfan replied to clearwaterms's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I own i20's and I love them. I went with the stock cfc stiff shaft, I have since reshafted wit rifle 5.5 and I love them. My only regret was not buying them with the KBS shafts, my favorite shaft of all time. Stick with ping they last forever -
Please help, Rocketballz issue (driver)
Jazzfan replied to TPowell's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I had a friend who put clear-bra on the crown and sole of his r11, and it looked brand new when he sold it. As far as fixing sky marks on a white driver, I cannot help there. -
I agree with above poster, it's a swing issue. Don't throw away money until someone who knows what they are doing looks at your driver swing.
-
I got my irons reshafted last year with rifle 5.5 shafts, and that was in June. I would advise contacting a private club fitter and builder. My guy really only uses the rifle shafts. If it helps his name is Brian Gott and his website is Gott Golf.

I would vote for the Adams set just for the fact it comes with hybrids which are easier to hit then long irons. But I would hit both sets prior to buying.

Cannot find the need for a 14th club
Jazzfan replied to tuffluck's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I wish I had your problem, I have to decide which club I need to remove before a tournament. And I usually don't know till I get to the range day of, 4 iron or my 23 degree hybrid....I think the 4 iron will be coming out for good this season just because I hit it off the box so well, but if I were u I would add a 60 -
I have a friend who struggles with his game and he put them on throughout his bag and the next day they were thrown away. I tried them on the range the day he showed up and I must admit that was one of the worst feels I have ever had. My draw turned into a filthy hook when trying to square it at impact. But on a side note that experience does make for some good laughs when we are re-gripping for the season. "do you remember when I put the Jumbomax grips on" that experience will live on for ever.

I use the Ecco Biom Hydromax with the spikes, hands down the best shoe ever made. just feel the leather and you will know they are built to last. no pain in my feet after walking 18. I have tried every brand out there and they are the best for me. The second best were the puma's I wore last season.

What do you carry in your bag?
Jazzfan replied to TPowell's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
Full rain suit. A couple tee's 12 pro v1's Frogger brush A bright yellow CU Buffs towel Yellow sharpie Beanie Sunblock for my ears (they get beat up real bad with sunburn) Hockey tape (works better then medical tape on my dry cracked hands) And all the excuses I can come up with -
I guess we all have a little to much time on our hands. I am not sure what is more depressing the fact that this thread was even started? or the fact there are 113 replies to it? Or the fact that I just wasted 10 minutes of my morning reading the first 3 pages? I have a 36 inch waist and I own a white Puma belt....I wasn't sure if I looked stupid but now I know I do.....Belt is going in the trash thanks guys I am glad this is cleared up, it is a huge weight off my shoulders.

What ball(s) is in your bag?
Jazzfan replied to CentralFC's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
Pro v1 all day every day!!!! I won't even pick up pro v1x and put them in my bag (my playing partners love me). I should start keeping all the balls I find and sell them to help with my Pro v1 habit. I was a big fan of Pentas but I hate Taylormade so bad I refuse to give them any of my hard earned money anymore. Next week the R1s tour spec ambidextrous driver comes out and your 4 day old R1 is now worth 12 bucks trade in!!! -
What golf shoes are the best for walking?
Jazzfan replied to scgonoles's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
Ecco Biom hydromax! I normally can't get thru 14 to 15 holes before the pain in my feet gets so bad that my score suffers. Last week I walked 5 rounds on frozen fairways with my new Ecco's and nearly no pain at all, I also own a pair of True's that are also comfortable but zero heel raise does not work for me, my weight ends up way to far back, but that's just me.
