  1. I have been struggling with my Taylormade Rac LTs so I got on Ping's website and did the online webfit. When I was at Play It Again Sports the other day I found a used Ping I3 6 iron to my specs and I thought what the heck and I bought it to try out. I went to the range later that day and I tried the TM 6 iron against the Ping I3 6 iron and I gained 50 yards and alot more control with the Ping. It is amazing what having a fitted club can do for you. Needless to say, I went and found myself a set of Ping I3 to my specs. Now I am a Ping guy.
  2. I can't wait for it to come out.
  3. My Bobby Jones 4 hybrid is a 25 degree. I don't know if that helps.
  4. I think that you have to wait atleast 4 hours.
  5. If the one grip doesn't give you a consistency problem (meaning the one grip is a differnt style than the rest), I would just leave the old grip on the club.
  6. I have the same problem. I can hit my 3 wood great, but I can't hit my driver to save my life. A friend let me borrow his Callaway Big Bertha War Bird driver (190 cc) and I hit that pretty good. They are also not that expensive. If you take your time and look, you can find them for around $10-15 used. You could find Callaways, Taylormade, Titleist, etc in the smaller heads and they are made of steel.
  7. I thought about reading this when I first heard about it, but I don't think that I will read it now.
  8. I thought that the tourny had a great finish. I just started watching (and playing) golf back in January and this is the first playoff that I have seen. It was also fun to see the world # 1 change hands. I was also just as excited back when Rory was #1.
  9. I just starting playing golf in January and my first set is a used set that I got at a pawn shop. I feel that when I am ready for another set of clubs, I would definiately go for a proper fitting. But that will probably not be for a long time.
  10. This is also a good point that he brought up.
  11. Very nice. Thanks for the post. It is a great looking swing.
  12. I am a huge Blackhawks fan (I am originally from the Chicago 'Burbs). Living in Nashville, I am also a big fan of the Predators. When I go to games, I root for the Preds, unless the Hawks are in town, of course.
  13. I play TM RAC LTs and I really like them. See if you can try them before you buy them. If not, you mentioned that you can get them cheap. If you get them and don't like them, you can always resell them.
  14. I also really like oobgolf.com. I haven't used the phone app. I keep all the records on the scorecard and transfer the info to the computer when I am done.
  15. I use a push cart.
  16. I say find a PGA professional, whether at a course or a golf store and get fitted for a set. There are alot of good cheaper golf sets out there. I was really impressed with a cheaper Top Flite set that I once had before I upgraded.
  17. That's a great start. My first round didn't go that well.
  18. Great to have you. I am new here (and to golf) myself.
  19. I think that it is great that you want to have a particular brand, but I say that if they are not paying you to play their clubs, go for the clubs that work best for you. While I really like Taylormade, my consists of 4 different manufacturers. I just find the clubs that suit me best, no matter the brand.
