  1. Shaft length very much effects lie angle. The longer the club the flatter you need the club. The shorter the more upright. If it was me and I was ordering forged clubs I'd order the length I wanted then hit every club off a lie board and bend it to whatever lie it needs.
  2. Are you talking something like a Titleist CB cavity back or more a game improvement iron? I'd say if you're talking Titleist CB then no. If you're talking game improvement irons then yes I do believe they have the potential to go further.
  3. I played one for a few years. Liked it a lot. Def felt that it was easier than opening up the face on my 60. I'd say go with the Vokey.
  4. I think you just have to find a putter that works best for you. In my opinion though a good putter can make the ball go in the hole using a broom. A good putter (person) is a good putter.
  5. I'm sorry but I just don't see this as working well. It would simply be too hard for the cart girl to go around to every group who wanted the service right then. If done correctly the girl should see the group every 3-4 holes. Now maybe an app to put in an order for food to be ready at the turn but of course you can always just have people call into the restaurant.
  6. You're probably not hitting the center of the club face. You're not strong enough to grip it tight enough so it doesn't move at impact if anything you need to have a lighter grip and focus on hitting the ball on the center of the face.
  7. Trackman combine Getting the angle of attack on my driver up and getting the spin rate down Checking my club path
  8. I'm pretty happy with my AP2s. Unless you're a really good player I wouldn't recommend the MP69s. MP59s are about on par for forgiveness with the AP2s. The new MP64s I think are great irons which are right in between the 59s and 69s.
  9. Game improvement irons are made to help get the ball in the air and hit it further. That's why the Bridgestones feel "dead". You can see the proof when you look at the smash factor (ball speed / clubhead speed) on irons comparing the PGA Tour to the LPGA Tour. The LPGA players have a higher average smash factor because they typically play more forgiving irons versus the PGA players who typically play blade irons. Ex. PGA #1 LPGA #1 4 iron 1.40 1.48 http://www.trackman.dk/download/newsletter/newsletter3.pdf
  10. If I'm playing in a scramble I'm playing for fun. I guess if I'd say there's anything I don't like it's the slow play but I really just like to have fun.
  11. You could get a GPS app. I'd say get a laser range finder I love my Bushnell.
  12. I thought Luke played the 63s. And the place I work at has the 64s and H4 club heads for hitting. We also got some project X graphite shafts and 2 C-Taper shafts. The 64 head with the C-Taper shaft was awesome!
  13. 2 considering getting a 3rd. Just so easy to hit!
  14. And you now understand why they decided to limit how big the groves can be. Although it does affect the spin on clubs out of the fairway a little bit IMHO. I've noticed the difference in my wedges but I actually kind of like it.
  15. Basically what happens is water and grass gets caught in the groves of the club so when you hit it it has a high launch and low spin. Those two combined will cause the ball to go very far. That's why with drivers you hear people talk about a high launch and low spin.
  16. Method putter is actually a really good putter. And like others said Nike makes him whatever he wants I don't see any reason for him to switch.
  17. I don't understand why you need 1 set to collect.
  18. The 3 wood goes about 235 in the air. The 2 hybrid is about 220 in the air. The 3 hybrid is about 210 and 4 iron goes about 195.
  19. 14.25* 3 wood 18* hybrid 21* hybrid 4 iron
  20. Been interlocking since I started starting golf seriously at around the age of 11 and I'm 20 now. I use 10 finger for around the green but full shots I like interlock the best.
  21. 70 on my home course and I believe I was a 6 at the time? Best round I ever played was that summer on a difficult course I had never played before. Shot 72 and it was in a tournament. If I had been on my home course I honestly think it would have been a 68.
  22. My girlfriend is the only person I know who doesn't like them. Granted when people give a review of 'em a lot of times they own them and have tried other irons. Granted the AP2s are just plain solid irons. Provide both forgiveness without looking big and bulky and feel solid off the club face.
  23. Not being able to pat down spike marks or any other irregularities on the green.
