  1. I'll give Keegan a pass for now. Sergio was that way (maybe even worse) with his re-gripping 20+ times before each shot. Someone will get into Keegan's ear.
  2. I might be in the minority, but I like her and her game. It likely stems from meeting Pressel a few years ago at the Jamie Farr. She was kind, courteous, and was chatty on the practice tee. Different strokes for different folks.
  3. I think it's more of an issue of him turning 36 (pertaining to his body) this December than anything else. The clock is ticking now. It wasn't in 2008, or seemingly not like today.
  4. It's not his leg that's the problem, it's his swing. If there's a ruse it's due to his choice to go through another swing change (which is the biggest mistake of his career) and he needs the injury to deflect from that...
  5. Over the top IMO, but whatever floats ANGC's boat.
  6. I say Tiger betters his opening 71 today.
  7. Ryan Moore -12
  8. I didn't have the article in front of me and couldn't remember his exact response, but he did get into the reasons as to why he felt that way and it didn't end with "no, sorry." I wasn't forming an opinion validating Rocco's comments, but merely pointing out Brandel isn't the only detractor in regards to Tiger's swing relative to what Foley is teaching. Tiger has enjoyed incredible success with his prior two instructors, there isn't any reason to think further success can't be attainable. Time will only tell.
  9. Brandel is not the only player/former player to have reservations regarding Tiger's current swing. IIRC, Rocco Mediate didn't give a glowing endorsement in the March issue of GDigest of where Tiger's at now in regards to his swing. I think the exact question was "Do you like what he's done with Sean Foley?" Rocco's response: "No, sorry."
  10. Perfect example of arguably the best team in hockey being decimated by injury, so the eventual NHL champ gets an asterisk next to their name at seasons end. Shero did what he had to do however short-term the changes may be (Kovalev). The concussion suffered by Crosby must be a hum-dinger to keep him out two months.
  11. Would like to see Ryan Moore win one. However, Mickelson would be my choice.
  12. Interesting we're talking about one of the oldest, most fundamental rules of golf which is let faster players play through, and people (not all) act like the single is the plague. It's to me, with over 20 years in the business, mystifying. The idea, however logical or simple, seems to rear it's ugly head throughout the golfing season and is something I'm convinced will never, ever, go away. That being said, unfortunate as it is, you have to come to expect the reaction if you're a single or in a faster group. One's sense of entitlement is a tricky thing.
  13. I must have missed that part.
  14. Brandel was doing his job and giving an opinion. I have zero problem with his comments regarding Tiger.
  15. Only goal is to drop handicap below 3.
  16. I spit on occasion while playing golf. In the late summer/early fall when hay fever hits me hard, I have to or I'll drown. That being said, I never do it where it is easily witnessed, let alone anywhere near the green or where other players might be behind me. On the whole, the act doesn't bother me too much but then again I've never played with anyone (casual or tourney) that did it in such a way that directly affected my play or others.
  17. Yes, he's done it before along with countless others, but that's no excuse. I don't care for it, mainly because my "manners" I guess are different from his. I would never spew a loogie on the putting green anywhere. In the rough, fairway, trap, wherever else, fine. Spew to your hearts content. Come on Tiger...
  18. Somehow the most over-rated team in the NFL made the Super Bowl. Again.
  19. Sorry to hear. I had a nasty chest muscle strain a few years ago. One of the exercises that really helped me was a regimen of different types of push-ups. Of course I couldn't begin those until after the proper healing time, but my doctor told me when I could do a certain amount/week without pain, then I could get back to golf. Everyone is different, and I don't know if it would pertain to your situation, but my point is to make sure you use your chest muscles in every possible way during rehab to make sure you have successfully gotten through it.
  20. And, consequently, the US Open rough is some of the nastiest they ever play, and the European record there is not very stellar. I think Brandel's point about the rough (although I didn't hear it) is reaching.
  21. Props to Fowler who showed stones down the stretch. Tiger came out roaring in singles and lowered the boom. I think he wanted to be there.
  22. I'm not buying it. It still took a singles victory at the end for the Europeans to pull it off. The US closed the gap and save for a late match win, both were evenly matched. I don't understand why there has to be this fundamentally flawed excuse as to why the US lost. Could it be the golfers across the pond were a "wee bit" better this week?
  23. Nicest golfer I've ever met was Bob Murphy. Not so much (and that's being nice), Hubert Green. And then there's the time I chatted with Gary Player for a few minutes at a senior event function and left the conversation wondering what the hell he was talking about. The only time I came upon a golfer by chance was Fuzzy Zoeller in an elevator and he didn't look at me or say a word, just whistled the whole time. Hilarious. As far as Nick Faldo goes, I would probably acknowledge with a hello and that's it. He seems like he's be rougher than sandpaper to try and chat up.
  24. Actually Nicklaus was as physically fit from age 32-42 as he ever was, with his weight at times as low as 190, much lower than in his 20's. Back to topic, given Tiger's history with swing changes, there is absolutely no reason to believe he won't be back and better than ever given some time for implementation of those changes. I truly don't believe the age is a factor at all. He has kept himself in incredible shape.
  25. For those that believe this, how exactly is that conclusion proven?
