  1. I was in the same boat last year. Then at the end of the year I shot two rounds under 90. You are right when you say it is probably the short game. I worked on my putting and my chipping. I also worked very hard on my game management and my temper. If I had a blow up hole I tried to let it go and not let it destroy the rest of my round. I also set up a game plan and did not derive from it. If you want to break 90 for the first time don't try any shot that requires you to be a hero. You can lose too many strokes too quickly by trying to do a shot that you know 9 times out of ten you can't pull off.
  2. Wow I bet this will go for over 100K. That would be fun though to play a round of golf with Tiger. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=130226073055
  3. Go with the Scotty and never look back.
  4. You could flip a coin - Heads=Yes Tracy and Tails=Ping Anser either of those are great putters. I wouldnt consider them "cheapish" though just because you dont need a second mortgage to buy one.
  5. Tiger Sergio Phil Stricker (even though they never show him playing) Ogilvy/Choi/Bubba/Scott
  6. Count me in on the same boat too! I have recently gone to a more one plane swing and now I am hitting a draw/hook with my irons. My irons used to the strongest part of my game but now I have no idea where the ball is going. My tempo is off, accuracy is at zero, and I am frustrated as all get up. My short game however is as good as its ever been. (strange how that works) I think with some more time I will work these issues out but it is so hard in the meantime.
  7. Yeah I thought about that same thing when I lost my PW years ago. It seems like it would be pretty darn easy. Put a little sensor in butt of the club under the grip and have a little beeper on your bag and if it goes outside X distance start beeping. It would be nice to have it send you a text on your cellphone too, something like "Hey DumbA** you forgot your wedge again!". You should think about getting a club caddie. If your club was sticking up you are probably going to be less likely to forget it. Either that or just put the wedge on the green so you cant miss it.
  8. Great link thanks! I am going to be honest here and probably get scolded but I was a pusher upper..I didnt know any better and nobody ever showed me. I have always wondered how to fix the ball marks and now I know. I will educate all my golfing buddies who dont have a clue either.
  9. I think Golf marketing is working a little too well on us golfers. If you love the driver you have there is absolutely no reason to trade up. Save your money and go on a golf trip or something.
  10. Seriously? Wow! Too bad you didnt get that on video!
  11. Do you want to change out the shaft just because you heard some people say it was no good? You should only be changing out the shaft is it doesnt accomodate your swing....Who cares what other people think.
  12. 1. 34 2. 4 3. 17.4
  13. I had a Watson sandwedge that I used my first couple years in the game. I liked the weight, and the way it set up. Good wedges definitely a steal at $100 for 3.
  14. Could not agree more!
  15. I have not had a look at birdie on the first hole yet this year! When I have birdied the first hole though it hasn't put a curse on me. Gave me a bit of confidence and I play really well.
  16. I agree. Tension free hands and wrists will allow the club to whip/snap through the ball better and increase your distance. Of course making contact with the sweet spot helps too.
  17. I think more then anything it was the mental image of that bar over the ball. It helped me focus on making good contact with the ball. Because that bar was there I was more delibrate with my back and down swing. I didnt want to hit the bar so my tempo slowed down enough for me to make good contact. I have heard both sides of the Inside Approach. Either it works wonders or it doesnt work at all. Good thing about it is if it doesnt work for you, you know that it is not your swing coming out to in and then you can safely eliminate that from the equation and work on your grip and or starting the downswing with your lower body instead of your arms.
  18. My clothing says that I am one shower away from looking like a homeless person.
  19. Ok well we have all heard of the "Inside Approach" and I know that it sounds cliche but the darn thing works like a charm. I am not a paid endorser of this product but certainly would be! Last year I worked hard on getting rid of my slice but this year I got a new driver and have been slicing it. I have worked on my setup, alignment, grip, closing the club face, shorter backswing nothing worked. So being as frustrated as a guy can be I went to Target and bought the Inside Approach. I didnt use it at first. I swung my club underneath it and thought because I didnt knock the bar off that my swing was fine and that it wouldnt work for me. Well last night after getting nothing but slices again I finally put the Inside Approach into action. All I can say is "WOW" the darn thing works. I hit 10 balls with it and they went further then any drives I have hit this year and all but 1 went straight. It is that simple. I wished I had used this thing along time ago.
  20. I have been thinking about doing the same thing. I used to swear by my 5 wood but now I am having some real problems with it. I am hooking it and dont like sweeping it off the fairways. I tee'd off with my buddies Hogan Hybrid #3 and I think it was one of the best feeling shots I have ever hit. It went perfectly straight 230 yards down the fairway. I decided right there to add a hybrid to my bag.
  21. I got a BB460 this year and I have been having some slicing issues too. It is me though and not the club. There are lots of threads already discussing how to fix your slice, just do a search.
  22. Yup exactly. Why they dont all have a standard naming convention I dont know.
  23. Well he didnt win, but he didnt fold either. Was this his best finish this year?
  24. Yes great balls. B330 is for a straighter ball flight less spin. B330S has a higher spin and feels a bit softer. If you are a titileist kind of guy B330 similar to ProVIX and B330S similar to ProVI
