too soft and not as long as the 330s and proVs, imo. i like proVs better, but i get 330s for free, so thats what i play.

the technology in newer irons will give you more forgiveness. MP-67s are a blade, but they are more forgiving than older blades. the titanium faced, $1000+ game improvement irons like callaway FTs are going to give you more forgiveness than 15 year old game improvement irons.

whether hybrids discourage a good golf swing or not (they don't), all that matters is if you score better with hybrids. you can have a terrible blindfolded swing with hybrids if it gets it to the hole.

i have the Red X, best traditional mallet out there.

i dont think it would be worth the money to reshaft, but it may make all the difference from a psychological aspect

it takes a while to master the 60* wedge, but its a very useful club when you do

shindig, bigboom- thanks tourspoon and all- im 17, 6'2" 190, usually shoot in the mid to low 80s. always played golf as much as i could on vacation or baseball offseason, but now i switched over from baseball full time because of shoulder injuries. i made my high school golf team and im ready for an upgrade from my 6 year old, regular fat shaft wilson deep reds. dont know my iron clubhead speed but with a driver im about 115-125 mph. i hit my current 7 iron around 160 in good conditions. i hit all of my clubs with a natural very high trajectory. any suggestions would be much appreciated.

havent seen anywhere online....but i was talking to a pga superstore rep yesterday and he said that many people, including pros, are going to get fit for a mixed set between the ap1s and ap2s. for example going with the ap2s for short irons and ap1s for 3,4,5 because they will be much easier to hit. it intrigued me and thats what i plan on doing later this month

i bought the scotty cameron red X about a month ago. it was the only time that ive ever seen a new scotty on sale. picked it up for $150 at the PGA superstore. i know alot of people say its bad to fit ones game to equipment just to get a deal, but im putting better now than ever before.

i prefer aldila shafts (i have nv and proto, both stiff), but i havent really played any other top of the line shafts. ive heard good things about pro force v2 shafts, though
