  1. Bubba to paint over Confederate flag on General Lee In light of the renewed controversy surrounding the Confederate flag, Bubba Watson tweeted Thursday that he will be removing the flag's image from the roof of the General Lee, the iconic car from the "Dukes of Hazzard" TV series. Watson purchased the General Lee in January 2012. Debate around the flag has intensified in recent weeks after a gunman entered the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, S.C., on June 17 and killed nine people. Watson tweeted: All men ARE created equal, I believe that so I will be painting the American flag over the roof of the General Lee
  2. In his post round interview today on Golf Channel, would have loved to hear the GC interviewer ask TW how his relationship with Amanda has affected his game and less importantly his friendship with Jason Dufner.......
  3. I wonder what his sex addiction rehab clinicians are thinking right now......guess he didn't pay attention during his sessions, huh?
  4. Over the last week, that car depreciated approximately 99%.
  5. He got the "slump buster" thing all wrong......,the girls aren't supposed to be attractive/pretty.
  6. Earl Woods would be proud if he were around to hear this news.... That's My Boy!
  7. Gambling addicts: Daly for some reason is still pretty popular on the tour -has a big following even today as a mediocre pro. Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley also. Doesn't seem like an uncommon thing to do for these pro/celebs. --------------------------------------------------------- John Daly admits to his gambling addiction, with losses over $50 million and two days straight at the slots. Seems kind of proud of the fact - http://sports.yahoo.com/video/john-daly-gambling-away-55-110000595.html
  8. yes, the FBI and IRS and other law enforcement agencies are big Lefty fans and won't touch him.......
  9. be careful, this forum aka is The TIger Woods Forum.com.....anything conceived as negative or facetious will get you banned
  10. wonder what the walk-up opportunities are - worth the while for practice rounds? used to be able to buy them (practice round tix) from folks as the exited the grounds at about 2-3 pm giving you a few hours of watching.....think I gave $20 a couple of times back in the early 2000s......bet Augusta National now has a no re-entry policy....anyone know (practice rounds)?
  11. His game is in ruins now. Bringing up his past history doesn't reflect the current state of his game now. No one in his right mind will argue that he had one of the greatest stretches in golf, ever. Thread from what I can see is addressing the current state of his game and the need for help in becoming one of the best in the world again.
  12. when do the next notifications arrive? July?
  13. agree---he needs to stop cherry picking tournaments - he's no longer in the position to just play the big ones.....time to head for the tournaments that he used to slight.....the next three on the schedule would be good starts......#205 in the world can't cherry pick anymore.
  14. what crap? responding to someone calling me a dick? okay - no problem
  15. Green Jacket and US Open Championship trophy getting intimate.......
  16. You must have missed about 10-20 of my posts before the picture of the US Open Champion. This tells me you're a TW-jocksniffer. That's okay - he's got plenty followers and I can understand how pissed you folks are when he shoots 80s.
  17. Quality individual who learned how to be a great golfer and not being a complete ass to others like TW........way to go Jordan. Keep it real.
  18. Very true. Fox has a history of this stuff though with the NFL - weather girl, I think. I think it would be a distraction for the players trying to keep their focus on the questions -
  19. what the greens should have looked like if the USGA added some ****ing quality H20 to the greens - that course was a farce - and didn't represent the types of courses in that region - more like central Washington where there is desert (Yakima, for instance). I lived 10 miles south of where Chambers Bay was developed and learned to golf on courses with huge evergreens, plus grasses and green (not artificial either) fairways and rough - Chambers Bay was an artificially manufactured course - even the fake ruin buildings that bordered the fairways showed that. They do the same thing in Myrtle Beach to give a novel appearance to courses.
  20. I noticed Fox has been able to mute out players' conversation especially when they break FCC rules. Wouldnt it be possible to mute out the idiots yelling babba booey and get in thehole?
  21. It began simple enough, with an innocuous question on Golf Channel’s Morning Drive on Saturday. “Good morning, Mr. Player, how are you?” Golf Channel's Damon Hack asked. The answer, if it can be called that, was more of a world-class rant from Gary Player, all this delivered, or so it seemed, without his stopping to take a breath. Here is the video, followed by the transcript: “I’m standing in the most beautiful state in the world, Washington, Seattle, unbelievably beautiful, and we play this U.S. Open, this great championship, a group of people, the USGA that I have great respect for, but this has been the most unpleasant golf tournament I’ve seen in my life. I mean, the man who designed this golf course had to have had one leg shorter than the other. It’s hard to believe you see a man miss the green by one yard and the ball ends up 50 yards down in the rough. “Imagine, this is a public golf course. This is where we try to encourage people to come out and play and get more people to play the game…It’s actually a tragedy. It’s 7,900 yards long. The world is suffering from a shortage of water. Can you imagine the water this course will take? “An average golfer playing this golf course, I’m telling you, if he’s a 15, 16-handicap, he’s going to shoot 110 and he’s not going to go home a very happy man. We’ve got to make golf where it’s quicker, where it’s more enjoyable, get back to their family. We don’t want a husband and wife to argue because he’s taking too long and neglecting his family life. “We’re going about it in the wrong way. The golf balls, and this is happening, why they’re building these crazy golf course is because it’s in defense of the ball going too far. We’ve got to cut the ball back for the pro golfer, leave it for the amateur golfer. We’re making golf courses longer and longer. More expenses, more water, more fertilizer, more labor. They’re taking a beautiful golf course, making undulating greens, bunkers in front of the greens, and the folks are resigning from golf in numbers as far as amateurs are concern [that] are down. We don’t want to see that. We love the game. We’ve got to promote it in the right way. “Professional golf has never been so healthy. But we’re in trouble amateur-wise.”
  22. Looks like Lefty and Bones are having their typical back and forth about yardages and clubs........how I'd love to hear Phil throw out something like "I don't know what the **** to hit, Bones.....this goat farm they call a golf course -----gimmie a ****ing shovel".
  23. wow - one of the great ones in golf history doesn't get much respect on this forum
