  1. The exotics have the hottest faces out there. Hard to beat!
  2. I think he was considering adding a 52 56 and 60 on top of his pitching wedge... not subbing. I may be wrong though...
  3. I have (soon to be I had) a Covert tour and I have found it extremely difficult to try different shaft options... I would be very interested to see how it goes for you though... Hope it works for you!
  4. With such a low spinning driver it is neccesary. I had been a 8* guy with a stiff shaft and now I am a 10* guy but I still prefer the heavy shaft...
  5. Feel with golf balls and any golf things is very personal... I personally have not settled on a particular golf ball but I think that the best thing to do would be to test a bunch of different balls. I realize it does cost money but in the end it will help you. I know most people recommend that you use a single type of golf ball all the time so you know exactly how it will react off the club face....
  6. How much are they? I think I know what I need to save up for...
  7. That wedge is so beautiful... I want it in my bag.... right now. Probably the most beautiful wedge on the market...
  8. Assuming you are very confident with both I think the 4 hybrid. You can play more shots with it... Although I think it may be best to find a hybrid that splits the difference loft wise between the 5 wood and the hybrid but I dont know your gaps well enough to tell you for sure... Hope this helps
  9. I haven't actually ever used the ribbed version on a club but I have felt them in the shop and I don't like them at all. The normal tour velvets are classic and it's hard not to like them... Also if you have an adjustable driver that you need to turn the shaft for make sure you get the 360 version so you don't have any issues in different positions.
  10. The Callaway X Hot 3 deep has a fade bias and may be what you are looking for. I have one in the 14.5 and it is an absolute bomber!
  11. Original Anser! It changed the industry and is a great design!
  12. I like the classic Tour Velvet 360. Feels great regardless of how you turn the shaft.
  13. I normally replace my grips 1-2 times per year so I really don't have an issue with grips wearing. I do have an issue with some slickness in that spot from time to time. I also have a bit of an issue with my gloves blowing out on my lower left palm...
  14. I used to be a HUGE family guy man but the more recent episodes have not been very funny. It just doesn't make me laugh the way it did in the beginning . I have now switched to american dad and I love it!
  15. But also the feel of Mizuno irons are second to none... Okay maybe Miura... but you cant get those unless you are absolutely loaded
  16. Knowing almost nothing about your game I am going to struggle to give you much but I will try. Definitely go hit the clubs on a launch monitor and GET FIT. Also do my pass up the mizuno mp64's. Don't be afraid to hit anything and everything on the monitor and see what happens... It's the only real way to make sure you choose the right clubs. Welcome to TST!
  17. I think you make a great point but as long as you hit the center of the club face there is not a huge difference. Although most armature golfers don't. I think the video proves that even without the huge gains in distance we expect it is still worth the money for the accuracy and forgiveness
  18. The other day I had some extra time on the range and I was the only person there. I was attempting to hit a flop shot with every club in my bag. The woods weren't hard because I cheated and used a tee. I was actually able to hit a pretty good flop shot with my 4 iron. It took me a while to get it but it is definitely doable. I have a 60* in my bag and honestly feel like that is more than enough loft to pull off any shot. I actually use my 56* around the green and rarely use the 60.
  19. Denver-- 38 New England-- 42 San Francisco-- 15 Seattle-- 17
  20. Driver: $299.99 3 wood: $149.99 4 wood: $149.99 4 iron- pitching wedge: $950 50* wedge: Christmas present so free 56*: $79.99 61*: $79.99 Putter: $69.99 (grip was $20) Total: $1780!
  21. I dont care if he wants to be a jerk but dont make Hawks fans look bad... Well I wish I hadnt found this post... I still want to know about that headcover though...
  22. This video that I have attached is a video by Rick Shiels who is reviewing the original Big Bertha from the lat 90's against the Callaway X Hot from 2013. This video shows that there really is not that much difference other than forgiveness. I hope this helps!
  23. I mean I think it is really going to depend on your game. the ability to hit a high lofted lob wedge (58*+) is not an easy thing to acquire. you may want to just have a 56* be your highest. Also consider your gaps before you buy... Go test them on a launch monitor and make sure that you are spending your hard earned money in the right way.
  24. Hello! This thread is more out of curiosity rather than actually needing help but rather just a friendly question. I am wondering what shape of putter that you guys prefer. I know that putting is very personal and I am curious to hear some answers. Personally I like an anser style putter with a wide back but thats just me. Any response is appreciated! Thanks guys!
  25. What shafts do you guys use in your drivers?
