  1. I have to take a photo next time in there... Rockland Lake's Executive course (par 3) has an actual boulder in the trap. Hole 6. It's not raised and sitting in the trap, there is just sand scattered around solid rock. Haven't been in it offer, but you really can't hit out of it depending on where you end up!
  2. Sadly... that will not be the last time. What is thought and what is presented are 2 different things. The truth is there is a perceived advantage that they are eliminating without having to prove or address it.
  3. He's human... we all make mistakes and make comments we regret later. Racial stereotypes happens to be a popular in comedy, and society doesn't drop the "racist" bomb anymore when people make jokes. Whether in good taste or bad, a jokes a joke. Can't we go back to Stevie Williams racist comments on Tiger? That's more fun since he just won the Masters!
  4. Cavity back all the way... can't hurt.
  5. I'm going Breed! Why not, the other choices are too close to call...

    Putting Ban

    Nice...
  8. Side note, I did play golf once with a guy who was packing because he heard there were bears!
  9. My putter... Easily the most deadly club any of us have...
  10. I hate that guy too... My policy is advice only upon request, or if its a good friend and they usually appreciate me watching out for them.
  11. Nice Golf Thread!
  12. I work the ball on every shot outside 100 yards... What was once considered a slice is now my controlled fade... when it behaves. I haven't hit a ball straight in a few years!
  13. Doesn't Cink work out before rounds?
  14. I play once a week in season and only see snail like improvement since I don't have time to practice. If I had time to play 3 times a week... I'd switch to 2 and take the third day to practice... almost all inside 100 yards. You get the ball closer to the hole from inside 100 and around the green and you'll start dropping strokes.
  15. Focus on the short game only... then work your way back to the tee!
  16. Mine came today, and my initial reaction was "this is a bit lighter than I thought it was going to be." I spent 5 minutes swinging a pw with it in the various positions and my reaction now is "Wow". Simple design, easy to use and it really engages different muscles and trains them based on feel. I'm loving it because I don't practice much, so I could really benefit by maximizing the time I have. I wanted to thank Torc Golf and look forward to spreading the word!
  17. This came up a ways back on another forum and the results were about the same. Most glove wearers were shocked by the large number that go bare palm... I glove D-9...
  18. You must be a pro... Most people's swings are not 99% from swing to swing, or practice swing to the real one! Your body feels different things and your mind thinks different things. I'd go 75% max! Routine is big to tie in the day to day though... Great point!
  19. Golf is being able to manage the swing you have that day. The pros practice a lot more and are better at managing their daily changes. Note how hard it is for the pros to be elite consistently... top ten this week, missed cut the next!
  20. By it's nature it's a putter, and doesn't rotate by itself. Weighting is feel, and as the OP noted, he's more consistent with something more face balanced. Mallet and moi aside, I'd try a face balanced blade or close to for a comparison...
  21. Why do you think the #9 is harder to square at impact?
  22. Check out: www.proputtsystems.com/mas Same base as tour links, thicker turf...
  23. I was against the penalty originally since its a bit of a black eye given all the media coverage... but... If so many people complain about slow play, and repeated warnings do nothing, they are forced to act whether it's on the 10th hole or the 17th. I bet he won't be the slowest on the course going forward...
  24. I would if I had time to work on my game... I have time to play once a week, so I'd rather play than practice.
