Youtube it! I can't seem to find it but there is a good one about tempo - basically every moving part of your swing in sync... You can force your club to get to the top by quickly jerking it - where as you make a smooth fluid motion back and through the backswing and follow through - look at Ernie Els he's a perfect example - also saw your video you're still collapsing at impact and not extending your arms through impact --- look at the best players they all extend after impact (youtube it again!)

I'm watching Golf Channel and they took 15 of 23 minutes to move from Rory/Tiger to talk about the leaders of the tournament ---- then back to Rory Story - I guess you have to deal with that when you're Number 1 - (My wife thinks that he is a hack for WDing lol)

Thanks Erik & Dave for sharing this - this gave me a different look on how to describe weight and pressure - Always concerned with weight transfer but in reality its pressure during my swing that needs to be noted more so in the dynamic sense!

I was just curious guys - if when you are making a more centered pivot when you have reached your backswing does the club have to be parallel to the ground --- depending on the club (shorter irons shorter, longer irons, woods, driver parallel) Let me know - I have noticed that I have been doing a reverse pivot but have always stayed centered until my lower left side of my back started to hurt from playing at a friends simulator -- im finding out that I move just a bit to the right (right hander) but not enough like Mike's video of the head moving that far back! I also find that when I move my weight 55/45 my hands follow and they are parallel to my left leg compared being centered is that okay? I usually will do this manually 50/50 weight and push my hands forward closing the face (this type of action has decreased me hitting it fat, leaning 55/45 I've noticed that I have had some "fat mat shots") I'll start my backswing and shift just a bit, enough to feel like I'm 50/50 in the backswing - does that sound right to you guys? And when I do the shaft drill along my shoulder line when I bend down do I want the club end to be pointing at the ball or closer to my feet (inbetween the ball and feet)? Thanks

You are correct (my perspective at least) Late 90s you weren't accustomed to seeing golfers bombing the ball 300+ yards - the Game has changed - players being more physically fit, equipment Technology being better... More sponsors have taken on Golf as more and more of the masses are starting to watch it... (I was at the Canadian Open last year and there were spectators who were wearing loud mouth pants... Showing their support for John Daly and the hottest girls in the Oakville Area following Camilo Villegas) Believe me before I played Golf I didn't understand the game as much as I do know - and how hard it is to get to any level especially Pro level - I think Tiger influenced me as he was an Athlete who could of easily played any sport but chose this great sport -- I'm 29 and started playing at 18 so that's fairly close to the time when I started to play --- Europe has produced some exceptional players as well in the last 10 years (Europe has had a great pool of talent from any era... I'm just saying right, at this time...now...lol) I think Golf has given a great deal of kids of this generation a serious look at what needs to be done to be the best and not just picking those usual sports Baseball, Football! Now if Golf could be more affordable that would be great! Sorry for long winded message!

Well guys, after 2 weeks of extensive research - threads, youtube, prices I am finally going to pull the trigger on the Leupold GX-3i. Three Reasons - weather proof, and OLED display, an a unibody aluminum frame - thanks to the TST community for posting their pros/cons of each of the two I was looking at (V2 and Leupold). Early birthday gift muahahah! If anyone is interested I can post pictures/video of box opening...

A friend of mine is selling his bushnell hybrid - GPS and Laser best of both worlds... I've read the reviews and they are really good - ill probably pick it up and leave my iPhone for strictly score carding/data (anyone have the hybrid? Thoughts?)

i agree with tempo - but its good to understand what types of issues as a new golfer can work on - marvin its up to you to figure out what will help - Ive had just one lesson and I found that everything that i was working on, on my own was just reinforced - keep it up though!
