  1. Kids and strippers are two words that shouldn't be used in the same sentence (even though I just did). In regard to proper course attire, I respectfully disagree MunkeyGolfer. Naked IS the proper attire for strippers
  2. My first round ever was an 89. But now that I really know how to play (and keep score), that round was probably closer to 109 lol So a real sub 100 round probably took me 2 months of playing twice per week.
  3. That's my list too. My alternate would be Ernie Els because he's so damn big and Laura Davies for the same reason.
  4. I know that's one of the cheaper GPS units right? Not sure how reliable it is, but I have an IGolf Neo and it works well. Especially for $150. Very easy to use and it's the size of a pager.

    Wow I'm mad.

Golf is a funny game isn't it? My last 3 rounds were horrible to say the least. To the point where I thought my game was regressing. Then on Sunday I shot my 2nd best score ever.
  6. Grats! Next thing you know you will be breaking 90!

    Golfing Solo

Actually, I did it on Sunday. Well it started out a threesome (Me, my GF and a Friend), but due to the 110degree dry heat out here, they both called it quits around the 8th and 9th hole. So I finished the other 12 by myself. And you know what, it was actually pleasant. I was able to take my time, and I even sat on the grass under a tree for a good 5 minutes to smoke a cig. There was only one other group out there and I was 4 holes ahead of them. To top it off, I scored one of my best rounds of golf ever.
  8. Just got the igolf Neo last week and I've been measuring my drives. I'm averaging about 230-245. Really high ball flight though, I think my swing has outgrown the 10.5 degree loft on my HiboreXL.
  9. As with everyone, I think the MP-33's are a thing of beauty. I also like Cobra's new MB irons.
  10. Bought an Igolf Neo last week and got to use it for the first time yesterday. I was very pleased with the ease of use and the shot distance feature. I wasn't so pleased the course I downloaded was extremely outdated so the distances were way off. But no bigge I remapped as I played and was able to add several custom points. Overall its a great little gadget and helped me score my 2nd best round ever.
  11. I love testing golf balls and usually lose so many that I get to test new ones every two weeks. (I play once a week and lose about 6 balls per round...yes I suck) So far my favorites are (in order of best to worst) NXT Tour - Best by far Noodle - long Top Flite Gamer - really love this ball, but the cover gets chewed up too fast. Nike PD Soft - little too soft has a great feel, but distance suffers. Next on my list to try... TP Red/Black Bridgeston e6 Hot Bites
  12. That's what it sounds like. It's never a good idea to hit 5 larg buckets in one day even if you have been playing awhile.
  13. What happens if you have a stiff shaft and your swing speed is lower? Say 89-90... I guess my question is, if the staff is too stiff, what are the drawbacks? Low trajectory? Slices?
  14. NXT Tours would be my first choice. Second would be Top Flite Gamers or Noodle+ Long/Soft.
  15. I chose #3. I wear polos almost daily at work and most of them are golf shirts, so I have a lot to choose from. And of course shorts are a must out here. I don't have anything pink or orange, so almost any color combination can match with my white/brown DryJoys. I try not to wear Red or Black too often since my Nike bag is red/black and most of my headcovers have some sort of red/black in them.
  16. Tried both the AP1's and the MP-57's (today actually). Used 6 irons on both, but the MP-57's had Project X 5.5 shafts and the AP1's had standard True Temper Gold shafts - R flex. I was hitting them at my local golf shops indoor simulator under 0 wind, sea level conditions. I hit about 20 balls with each club and the Mizuno's were consistently 8-9yds longer at around 168-172 yds with the AP1's at about 160-164yds). The AP1's trajectory seemed a little too high for my liking. But shafts probably played a big part in that. Summary: Distance: MP-57 Trajectory: MP-57 Looks: MP-57 Feel: MP-57 Forgiveness: AP1 Coolness Factor: AP1 Overall both very good clubs. But I will probably be picking up the Mizuno's on ebay if I can get a good deal. I'm sold.
  17. I'm not looking forward to it. He makes it more exciting and he's a walking highlight reel.
  18. Try the 2007 Cobra FP's out. They are about $349 for steel and $399 for graphite. Pretty much identical to the 2008 model, so if you can't find the 2007 model to demo just hit the 2008 ones and see how they feel. And if you like them you can just order them through TGW.com If you don't like those, I would go for the RAC's or the MX-19's. I've tried the X18's and they just didn't do it for me. I'm not a big fan of uniflex shafts.
  19. Vegas during this time is about 105-110 every day. I can just imagine how hot it is in my trunk. I leave my clubs in my car most of the time, but I do try to take them out once a week for a day or two. Haven't noticed any negative effects from heat on my clubs though.
  20. Agree 100%. Just because I'm not on the tour it doesn't mean I shouldn't have the same/close to same advantage as far as knowing the distances. I still have to hit the shot and most importantly make the putts. Which a rangefinder/gps won't help you with. To answer the poll, I just bought a GPS should be coming in the mail tomorrow. Can't wait to take the guessing game out of my round.
  21. I wouldn't put Rocco on the team from 1 good performance. Kenny Perry deserves a spot on that team more than anyone outside of Tiger and Phil.
  22. The 200+ other professional golfers on the PGA tour got an early xmas present.
  23. Miller makes it funny for me. His comments are things that pop in his head, however brutal or politically incorrect they are. That's why the guy is such a great commentator.
  24. Great explanation, thanks. I knew how it worked, but this really puts it into english for me :)
  25. Great suggestion!
