  1. LOL good point! I usually just cover my head with my arms. Or if my GF is nearby I use her as a meatshield haha jk
  2. They lowered the price of the iphone, but raised the basic monthly rate by $10/mo to $70/mo. So you are actually paying more in the longrun. Sneaky Apple.
  3. It's normal if your a first time user of it. If it continues after a few weeks then your grip is incorrect.

    Brandon Vera was robbed!
  5. In the air about 260. My ball flight is really high though, so I don't get much roll if any.
  6. I like Chamblee! Or maybe I just like his name... Feherty however should have his own show. Put him and Micheal Collins on the same show and It will be comedy gold.
  7. Doesn't hurt to wait a few days. The course will be there waiting for you.
  8. It made a huge difference for me. I've upgraded almost all of my starter clubs except my irons and coincedently those are the clubs I have the most problems with. New Hibore XL - stopped slicing the ball and gained 20+yds New Nickent Hybrids - Can get the ball into the air, my "go to" clubs 190yds+ New Cleveland CG12 wedges - confidence around the greens to get it up and down. New Odyssey White Hot Tour putter - Ok this one didn't help as much but it looks good in my bag :) Still waiting for a good set of irons. Been hitting a bunch lately and can't settle on whether I want to continue with some game improvement irons or get some player's irons and learn the hard way. But the moral of the story is, YES technology and equipment helps.
  9. I like the sound of the Hibore XL. It's loud, but not annoying.
  10. joshtpa - does the software allow you to map your own course? Interested in your review once you try it out. Thanks!
  11. Any of you have the new Pearl/Curve with GPS enabled? If so, have you tried Greenfinder on it? I'm in the market for a new phone and a GPS device, so I'm wondering if I can kill 2 birds with one stone. Here's the link to greenfinder software. http://www.itinerantsoftware.com/products If you have tried it, please list pros/cons. Thanks!
  12. Sorry for the confusion. the second part is for chipping. On full wedge swings, I take out the tilt.
  13. Wow you and I have similar swings! Looks like you have a slight chickenwing at the end. Do you tend to hit balls to the right? If so, I would try starting your downswing by throwing your hands at ball first, then let the body follow (instead of the other way around) That's what my instructor has me doing to fix mine and it's worked great. Also in your front view, you have a bit of a sway and cock your wrists too early on the backswing. That leads to inconsistent contact. Especially the early wrist hinge. I was told when I do that, it creates a different swingplane almost everytime. So I've been working on letting the top of my backswing hinge my wrists automatically. Just my observations and some things my instructor has been working on with me. Hope it helps a little.
  14. I'm no expert Dent, but you have a really good looking swing. The setup however seems really tight (uncomfortable). Your stance is really wide which is probably a cause of lack of power. Hard to get your hips around without getting on your toes (which you do). So you are almost jumping at the point of impact. Just my observation.
  15. I used to have this problem with the open stance. Now I'm pretty much parallel to my target line. Also my golf instructor gave me a good rule to remember on chip shots. Which does work on full wedge shots just don't tilt the shaft forward. BLT Ball back in stance Lean towards the target (helps create descending blow) Tilt the shaft (in front of the ball). Basically it delofts the club and depending on how far I need to hit it, the tilt can be very little to a lot.
  16. Not too familiar with those, but they look to be player's irons. Especially if they are from 2001. How do they feel?
  17. You must be so proud! I started my sons really late and well it's been a challenge to get them into it. The last time I took my 10 yr old out he hit a few dozen balls then decided to dig a hole in the ground with my divot tool.
  18. I'm sure if you would have asked, they would have let you play through. If someone was to purposely hit a ball over my head, their ball isn't the only thing that would be going in the water. It's just rude. Have some class bud.
  19. My phone is always on vibrate and usually in my bag. My kids/GF know not to call me unless the house is burning ^^
  20. In greater Las Vegas they are overpriced, but then again. So is anything outside of the casino buildings. I live about 15 minutes away from the strip in the "burbs" and my local courses are average about $50-$65 per round for residents. Which isn't bad, plus I like to play twighlight so that cuts it about half.
  21. Vegas gets pretty windy, a few days ago there was constant 30-35mph winds followed by a few nasty gusts of what would probably be 50+ (knocked a few trees over). Playing wise, I've done 25mph with strong enough gusts to move my ball on the green before I putt.
  22. LOL! I'm gonna have to steal that one.
  23. I'd use 2hybrid 5i, 9i, lw, putter.
  24. I need more than one choice on this poll! lol But for the most part it's my short game. Anything under 100 yds. Lately chipping has cost me at least 1 stroke per hole.
  25. Interesting! That's what I was concerned about, whether the bigger grips will affect my swing. My hands are average size, so I guess I will have see for myself. Thanks for the info! I'll try one on one of my rock clubs (have a lot of these playing in Vegas) and see if it makes a difference.
