  1. Does the beveled edge really matter? I think you are reading too much in to the marketing mumbo jumbo. Just hit the ball first and you will be ok. In any event, I would go with the 57's.
  2. Yes, I had a pro tell me that there is very little consistency on flexes across shafts from different vendors. You have to hit them to make a judgement.
  3. Huh?......I had to read you post at least 8 times to try and interpret that sentence. Are you saying that my post is pointless? If so, I agree. Pointless posts.....it just goes with the whole theme of this pointless thread.
  4. What is the point of this thread? One thing I noticed is that the dirty old guy is leering at your wife. I can almost hear the retired old guys now chatting it up about her under the "hut"....
  5. The only thing they are good for is doing side by side comparisons between clubs. The distances reported are bogus.
  6. Wow, this thread has really went down the tube. Who cares if the beats are 2:1, 3:1, 4:1, or f'ing 500:1. Getting the swing thoughts out and just reacting to the tempo will improve your ballstriking IF and ONLY IF you have decent fundamentals. Judging by your handicap, you are better served going to see a PGA professional.
  7. Sabertooth putter.........truly one of the ugliest pieces of golf equipment ever designed
  8. If you decide on Florida, I highly suggest Orange County National. About 20 mins from downtown Orlando. If you want to maximize your golf for the week this is the place to stay. They have 2 beautiful courses, unbelievable practice facility, a short course, and lodging onsite. They hosted PGA Q-school back in 2007 and were just rated #1 course in Florida by a publication. As a local, I play out there all the time. Definitely worth a look.
  9. So, I got sucked in some time ago to the Taylormade promotion on their 09 Burner drivers that gave away a free burner fairway wood. The fairway wood that they gave away with the promotion has a 49 gram shaft, mine is stiff flex. I thought that was really light at the time, but thought I would give it a try. Any fairway woods that I have used in the past have been at least 65+grams. Ok, so here is the problem. Every shot that I hit with this club has a slight fade to it. Cannot turn the ball over at all. I don't really have this issue with my driver or my other clubs. My question is, is this ultra light shaft just not as "stiff" as I need even though it is a stiff flex? Anyone else have similar issues? I am considering dumping this burner fairway wood and going with the r9 fairway, 70 gram stiff. Thanks
  10. The 49 gram shaft is the stock shaft that comes in the 09' Burner.......The club looks legit to me..... I've owned one of the 09' Burners
  11. Exactly why I don't buy anything on Ebay.....not worth the risk. And....I seriously doubt you are putting it out there 285 with a "mad slice" that you mention in a later post. That goes for a real Burner or your fake one.
  12. No, don't build a repeatable bad swing. It will be harder for you to correct. Get lessons now.
  13. It is the indian, not the arrow!!!!! That fact gets lost quite a bit on here........
  14. You definitely cannot go wrong with Orange County Nat. Both course are always in great shape and the staff takes good care of you. It was mentioned above, but make sure you check out Shingle Creek. Might be pricey if you are coming in from out of town, but worth it.
  15. Wow, that sounds great. "I can work 24/7 and my whole day is about what I can do for you......." With that attitude as a leader, I am sure you have plenty of turnover when times are good. Companies can get away with that expectation when times are tough, but the market always turns around..............
  16. Probably no one is copying it because I have never heard of the guy...........
  17. They are good clubs. The right amount of forgiveness and good feedback on mishits. The only poor thing I can say about them is that they show wear very quickly. I've had them a year and they look 5 yrs old. Does not affect performance though.........
  18. I help with the shanks I would actually play the ball back in your stance, opposed to forward. A lot of people think they shank because they are coming in the ball to far from the inside. Many times this is not the case. It is often due to an over the top move on the downswing. I've seen this many times in the past with my swing on video. Try playing the ball slightly ahead of center and on the downswing pull with your left arm (for a righty) keeping it extended through impact. Don't worry about manipulating the club with your right hand/arm. Just let the club release naturally. Your contact will improve dramatically and shanks will go away. Works for me..........
  19. Small grip = slice?............No, poor swing = slice
  20. But you 6-iron swing should NOT be completely different than your driver swing.......
  21. If you have to ask how good do you have to be to hit a certain club.........you probably aren't good enough. Good ball strikers can hit anything.
  22. Oh sure, I think they would still be able to compete. However, their days of competition would likely be limited to Thursday's and Friday's............
  23. Huh???..... Please explain to me how my post singled me out as a cheater. I was merely commenting on your absurd analogy.
  24. I think they are fine. I started out with 04' edition of these clubs. Once I improved, I grew tired of the toaster oven on a stick look.... Starting in 06', the BB irons just got far too large IMO. However, I am sure they are good clubs. I mean how can you mishit those.....they are huge!!!!!
  25. Lets use some common sense you moron. The things you are talking about are crimes and yes should be reported. The discussion here is about someone using creative scoring in a hackers scramble. Your analogy makes absolutely no sense
