  2. I thought I would get some blades this year becuase I hit the ball pretty well an love the classic look.. But I only hit them well 4/5 or 8/10 times.. And when you miss hit them you lose about 5-10 yards.. Now that can be the difference of being in the hazard or on the green
  3. 70 (-1) on 18 holes and a pretty short typical public course.. 6500 yards.. Same day my back nine score was 34 (-2). It was a good day haha
  4. How do you get into product testing for a company? I would like to get into this because I play so frequently. Thanks
  5. Major goal for this season is to keep the mental game on track and be focused and commuted to every shot putt or chip I hit.. If I have a good mental round I can shoot around even or a few over.. A bad mental round will turn into 80 or higher lol.. Swing is there it's just all a mental game
  6. I just love the px shaft.. But the club has no marks on it whatsoever too.. No scuffs or sky marks.. Maybe hit on the range once if at all. I'll look into 3balls
  7. something like winding hollow.. Great course. I think that's the name. I slept on the drive out

    Backing Off

I have a set routine to go through before each shot.. But once I set up.. It's not like your forced to hit it.. I just wait until I feel comfortable (5 secs) and then just swing away. If something is uncomfortable like my stance or posture.. I'll back off. As for noises and things.. Just back off take a quick breath and go!
  9. Take a break. Not a long one but enough to get the love back. Watch golf channel and the tournaments every week.. You will see in no time you will want to get back out
  10. Found a mint condition 910f for 140$ on 2nd swing.com it has a project x in it stif plus. But I'm not sure the value of the club.. No sky marks or scratches on the face or bottom.. It's listed as a 9.5/10. Been looking for a new 3 wood and this would match my hybrid and driver. I was about to pull the trigger on the 913 or callaway x hot pro.. Any info on price is appreciated!
  11. This is accurate. Some shafts are labeled differently. But I swing a reg flex in my hybrid and everything else is still. I just haven't found a good shaft for it yet. I still hit it around 220 and ok. Just try and match all shafts for feel. Other than that it may be your swing
  12. Relaxation is key. Practice time all depends on what you need. Since most highschool teams only get 1 or 2 range stalls to use it takes us a good 45 mins to hit balls. Then 30 mins on the greens. Them 15 to chip and then you have 30 minutes to relax and learn the scorecard and holes. That's just my schools routine before tournaments tho. Goodluck and have fun!
  13. Driver: 270-290 with roll 3 wood 15*: 230-250 with roll 3 hybrid 19*: 210-220 with roll 4i: 200-205 with roll 5i:195-200 carry 6i: 180-190 carry 7i: 170-180 carry 8i: 150-165 carry 9i: 140-150 carry Pw: 130 carry 52*: 115-120 carry 56*: 85-100 carry 60*: ? NEVER hit it full swing.. Knock down chips and flops mostly
  14. Played the course I work at today.. Some holes have houses that are 15-20 yards off the fairways. Long par 5 about 570 and I'm on the tee with driver.. Been hitting it well lately but just got one of those feeling that I was uncomfortable on the tee box.. Proceeded to block it wayyyyyyyyyy left off the roof of a house into a woman's patio.. The husband came out with a club and hit my ball into the lake along the other side of the fairway... Thanks
  15. It took me 3 years to do that haha. from my freshman year of highschool I was a 44 hc and now I'm around a 4. Given I didn't practice at all.. I would just play the 3 summer months like June July and August and then quit. You will need to fuy dedicate yourself this summer and practice 4-5 hours a day. You can realistically get to around a 15-20 by the end of summer with hard work. I practice 2 hours every day and play after possibly. I aspire to play D-1 golf in a few years. Already playing my first 2 years of college at a D-3 school hopefully and then transferring. This is a very time consuming process and a hard journey you are about to go on. Your going to want to quit but as long as you understand the difficultys of doing anything new you'll make it. You can post any questions here and we can help you out! We all start somewhere
  16. I also play for my highschool team. Next season will be my last season sadly, but anyways you don't need much.. Just bring your bag, umbrella and rain gear, extra sleeve of balls, lucky ball marker, 2 gloves, rain gloves, towel, water (4 bottles, 2 for each side), and snacks! Haha my coach is good at getting us there like 2 hours before our tee time so we get plenty of time to hit balls and warm up. But MOST IMPORTANTLY learn the speed and type of grass the greens are.. The day can go from ok ball striking wise to really good if your putting well. Other than that, just go out and have fun.. Tournaments are great!
  17. Totally agree with Lucius wooding. He is right about the tour players and how high you actually hit the ball
  18. Longaberger was a great place to play.. Course is in great condition.. Pretty tough from the tips ended up with an 80. Bogied the last 2. Nice view too!
  19. The quarry and fox meadow is where I usually play.. Just played a tournament at stonewater too. But I'm going out to longaberger for sure! Maybe somewhere else on Sunday! Thanks guys!
  20. The course I work at is where I normally play.. It's a smaller and shorter course rating is 67.6 or something around 67.. Nothing more than 6600 yards. And my handicap hasn't been updated since last fall.. Haven't got around to putting in scores
  21. I know I'm playing a place called riviera. But I'm looking for a nicer high end course to take my uncle and cousin.. And I know of Granville but I'm looking for any public course that is very well maintained or private courses I can get on without a member
  22. Are there any Pete dye courses or Donald Ross?
  23. I was looking at a place called riviera? Play there?
  24. Going to Columbus to see family this Memorial Day weekend.. My dad and cousins are looking to go play some new nicer courses.. Anyone know of anything besides Murfield that's nice down there?
  25. In your defense i haven't updated my handicap recently.. It was kind of a rough guess but I've been consistently shooting from 74-79 and anything above 80 is displeasing lately. Swing is coming around for tournament season!
