Anyone played Boulder Creek or Blue Heron, OH?

Blue Herron, in my opinion is just stupid. The first hole from the blue tees, a par 5, is like 240 to carry a ravine. Don't go right either. The ravine is there also. It's target golf, but in the worst way. When you are hitting 3 irons off of the tee all day to keep from going long into a ravine thats no fun. I think I hit one driver all day. Highly not enjoyable. -
I think Tiger has too much on his mind with the birth of his first child, building a golf course and sponsoring his own tournament. Phil might have wrist issues. I would put some money on Zack just because he has a great putting stroke. Especially on fast, slopey greens. He showed it at the Ryder Cup, which is great pressure, and the Masters.

Which Taylormade 3 wood?
ezmoney5150 replied to titleistglfer's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I have a 200 series steel head Taylor Made that I love. It's got a small head that I can hit out of light rough. Also the Taylor Made V steel you can get on ebay brand new with graphite shaft for $80. http://search.ebay.com/search/search...ood&category0;= -
That stat may be misleading. If you included the first cut of rough which is like the fairway at most muni courses he would probably have a better ranking. When I watch him he seem to just miss the fairway by an inch or two. I could be wrong, but I'd play from that cut all day and I'm sure Tiger would too.

Always 14. I don't like to take a knife to a gun fight. Give me all of the weapons I can have.

Who here hits their Sand wedge 100+ yrds?
ezmoney5150 replied to beung's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
My sand wedge is 54 degrees. That's my 100 club. I never try to hit it 110. I'll 3/4 my Pitching wedge for that. -
Lamkin Crossline vs. GolfPride Tour Velvet
ezmoney5150 replied to SuaSponteMn's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I still have the Tour Velvets on my irons that came with from Mizuno. I love those grips. Until the Golf Pride New Decade MultiCompound came out Tour Velvet was all I used. I switched because when it's hot and humid the MultiCompound is easier to grip. -
The Re-Ax shaft is a nice shaft. You even see alot of the pros stayed with that shaft.

I need advice on wedge purchase
ezmoney5150 replied to hjimzaf's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Correct me if I'm wrong but all of the new Cleveland wedges are cast not forged. I just bought a new Mizuno R Series Black Nickle 54 degree wedge, which I love. The sole of the wedge has a grind on the toe and the heel which is nice on hard fairways. -
I'm a member at a semi-private club and I like it because I only golf. Truck drivers don't entertain clients. I don't like food minimums and things like that. I pay every year and if I want to spend money at the course I will. If I don't I won't. It's my choice. A lot of the private clubs around here are starting to advertise for members. Where 10 years ago there were waiting lists.

My favorite is when somebody birdies a 440 yard par 4 they say driver, wedge and made the putt. Paaaaleeeeze.

I had that happen to me. I was playing in an outing and I put a good group together to shoot a 61. The carts at this course had GPS and you put the scores in as you go so at the end it prints out the sheet. It also had a leader board, which is a bad idea. We were the third from the last group. The last group won with a 60. Go Figure. One of my teammates was pretty mad. I told him that if that's the way they want to win, fine. They have to live with themselves.

Every year I do a trip to Butler, PA for a three day weekend at Conley Resort. My first Eagle was on the Par 5 7th hole. The hole is all down hill with a big pond in front. I hit a driver with a slight draw to about 190. I pured a 5 iron to about six feet. I was about as nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. Made the Putt. Ended up shooting a 78. I still have the ball. It's a Precept Extra Spin.

I don't see how you can't have a USGA/GHIN handicap. Almost every course has a computer for it around here. If you play a certain course alot pay them the $10 and start posting.

I see alot of people play the lost ball that way. The one I see alot is o/b. I see alot of people play it like a lateral water hazard. Some people ask me why I re tee when I hit it out of bounds. It's the rules.

How many putts do you usually have in an 18 hole round?
ezmoney5150 replied to CG031's topic in Golf Talk
I usually have around 29-30 putts per round. Thats because I miss alot of greens. Good practice for my short game, bad for getting birdies. -
Tommy Gainey - Proving the nay sayers wrong..
ezmoney5150 replied to Clubswinger21's topic in Tour Talk
He may have a funny swing with the 10 finger grip but his confidence level is something that gets him through. He does hit it a long way too. -
I might be biased because my wife's name is Paula but I love Paula Creamer's personality. That Precept commercial where she goes blah! blah! blah! clinched it for me. And the look on Nick Price's face when she says "I was in high school." That's priceless.

I do the same thing. Punch a hole in the top. I don't know if you noticed but the smoke runs up the roof of your mouth and down to your pallet. Did you read this months Cigar Aficianado article with Litto Gomez? He tells how he came up with the idea for the Chisel. He was chewing on a pyramid and flatened it out and realized how comfortable it was. If you go to www.cigaraficionado.com there's a video of Litto Gomez giving a tour of his curing room and showing how La Flor's are rolled. Also there's a video of a review of his premium cigar Corranado by La Flor.

I already pledged to what I already do.....play fast. I thought of a funny story where my wife's uncle, who was already slow from bad knees, would clean whatever club he used after he hit it. As a matter of fact he took a practice swing with a club got it muddy and cleaned it before he took out the one he wanted to hit. Well what I'd do is get way ahead of him. He would be hitting his approach shot and I'd be walking up to the green. It drove him so nuts that he had to play faster. After the round he said something to a friend of mine about how winded he was. My friend told him you should be. You shot 97 multiplied by 6 practice swings. Needless to say he started to pick up the pace.

I got a pair of Tifosi's recently. I got the EC Fototec which change to a darker tint the brighter it is out. I agree great sunglasses. I ordered them from Edwin Watts for $60. I didn't need a perscription though.

I'm not sure if you've read some of my posts on this issue, but the La Flor is my favorite right now. I'm having a box a month sent to me. Litto Gomez is probably one of the best growers around next to Don Carlos Fuente.

Also make sure you are not using just arms. Make a mini turn just like a full swing but 3/4.

Hell, I think 4 hours is too much. I have left and gone home if I play the front nine too slow.
