exactly what i did, he assumed i sucked because im 16, my game proved him wrong.

theres a guy at my club in the states who regularly shoots 4-8 over par hes go his handicap in the computer as 20!! which means when we play in the club tourney he shoots any where from 18-12 under par! this doesent affect me because i play in the junior category but still the guys who keep honest caps dont even have a chance...darn sandbaggers.

my coach always tells me what club to use when i play with him, once in a while i ignoren him, he always ends up being right

i agree i hate it when i hit a shot badly and someones like "nice shot" i wanna trun around and be like NO its not why do you say that when obviously im right next to a tree now. ?!

the one thing that cracks me up is when i walk up to the first tee and im playing with a group of 3 guys who will range from anywhere from 35-60, and assume because i am a 16 yearold kid i cant play golf/are just learning. My fav example: i walk up the the first hole to meet the guys im paired up with, i shake hands with them, and they all introduce themselves. one of the guys asks me "son are you familiar with the routine? do you know the ettiquitte etc etc." acting like im new/have never played before, basically acting like a real tool. he tees off slices his shot off into the woods. the other guys finish teeing off, i walk up put my tee into the ground, and turn to him and say "i hope you dont mind ive never played before." basically pretending i suck. he looks at his friends and rolls his eyes giving them the "oh boy here we go" look Hit my drive 260 in the middle of the fairway and birdie the first hole. that shut him up. LOL basically lower handicaps can be jerks, and so can higher caps...depends on the person.

Thats all very good advice ill keep it in mind, i actually wasnt very clear i realise now. What i meant was considering the fact that im playing with a teamate, i could go and shoot par, and he could shoot 120 and mess us up and vice versa how do i get that out of my head :P

your hands at the start of your back swing are wrong, and you should widen your stance.

why would they not want you to play alone? its not like you wont keep pace of play...

dusting for prints seems like its a made for tv thing my friend and his family was away on vacation, and were broken into and literally had everything in their house stolen, im talking electronics, artwork, money, clothes, jewelery even some of their furniture was taken, basically anything sellable. They didnt even dust for prints, the cops showed up asked a couple questions and left. Luckily insurance covered.

man tiger sharks were my first set of clubs, bought for like 150$ a whole set now i realise just how bad of clubs they were...

man, dont even worry about it, if you need to just pick up your ball to keep up. I play alone all the time at my club, sometimes i end up alone and flying through 18, but sometimes i end up with other people. Just relax and play the game, once in a while you will end up with jerks and more often than not you will end up with great guys, who knows you might just pick up a new playing partner..

i always putt my putts out, unless i am in a slow group i will give myself the putts that are anywhere from 1-10 inches in order to speed up play.

My name is Ian. Basically im a Grade 11 playing for my school in Vancouver. I play off a 7 and hope to nab the top spot on my highschool team. This looks like a strong possibility this year. We play a total of 8 matches and based on those we win we may or may not go to provincials. The 2 playoff qualifiers are to be played at my and my teamates home course, so we will have a strong advantage over the opposing team. The courses in the area have volunteered to give us free green fees during our matches which can be over 3500$ PER ROUND depending on the course. (350$ per person -> ten players) . Goals: Get below a 5 handicap Qualify for provincials My schedule is as follows. We practice tuesdays and thursdays either at the range or the course.. I practice much more on my own also :) Official team matches: Will be in order: date/opponent/COURSE March 12th Team Practice 9 at GLENEAGLES I scored 39 on 9 holes, which was the best on the team.
