  1. The r5 doesn't sound like a bad deal ...
  2. Like many others, I play out, and put down my real score, I'm not fond of ESC...
  3. Played at one of the home courses today, Castlemore Golf & Country Club (69.1/132). Shot a 76 so it was pretty good. Best shot came at the 11th, 171 yard par 3. Used a 6 iron which lands the ball about 4 feet from the pin, and it felt great. Birdied 11th ...
  4. Shot a 76 (38-38) at one of my local courses today, Castlemore Golf & Country Club (69.1/132). It went pretty well overall ...
  5. I've always used blades, and I don't plan on changing. I want to stay with what's worked so well over the years...
  6. Lionhead Golf & Country Club (76.3/152), Castlemore Golf & Country Club (69.1/132)
  7. My thoughts exactly, and then some... I (like a few others) have also found the grip to be a bit firmer, and I feel that its pattern is more aggressive, which I absolutely enjoy about them ...
  8. Very nice-lookin' irons, must be nicer when they're being played, enjoy those !
  9. I would only let a friend try one of my clubs if they're a really close friend of mine, and I know that the person can handle a club like that. If he's a beginner, no way would I let him try any of my clubs, he's not near skilled enough for them, which can lead to damages, etc.
  10. It doesn't matter, but anyone can use any bag and any club they want to, I actually like using a different brand bag...
  11. Yes I alter my playing style for tougher courses. However, in all the courses I play, I always keep "course management" in mind, going for broke only when needed. But in the end it's all about having fun, whether it be playing safe or aggressive ...
  12. I kinda love everything about golf, since its an experience I enjoy. Whether its the shots I'll remember forever or the shots I'd like to forget, there's the feeling of playing golf that I love. I especially love tee times(I always look forward to the tee time I've booked for me and 3 other friends/family at my home course), since tee times are the start of what we love to do...
  13. A Snickers bar, a bottle of powerade, and a jug of water, all I need...
  14. I would play on any golf course everyday, but atop my list would be Banff Springs Golf Course, Mayfield Golf Club, and my beloved home course, Banty's Roost Golf & Country Club. Why? Simply because they're beautiful courses...
  15. Well if you're talking about players irons without judging its cost, I think it would definitely be Miura's, hands down...
  16. Golden Bear is a company by Jack Nicklaus, and they specialize for beginning players. They're great clubs for beginners, and players with high handicaps, I think 50 bucks is not such a bad deal for 3 wedges, so it looks pretty worth it ...
  17. I totally agree with you on that, I'm a traditional golfer and I love nothing more than hitting those long irons ...
  18. Since I'm a traditional player, I prefer muscleback blades, and I know how unforgiving they can be, but I turn that into a positive. Sure I may mishit from time to time since they're less forgiving, but I get to practice with the harder shot which will eventually help my control of the ball get better in time. I'm not satisfied with my handicap and I want to improve, and I feel blades will help me do that as long as I practice, and put my full effort towards my game, just my 2 cents ...
  19. My MacKenzie Walker bag, its an old-school player's bag ...
  20. Well my favorite shots are putting strokes, but driving and pitching come closely tied for second...
  21. My strategy is playing aggresive, and risky. I often take drives which focus more on power than accuracy, and I focus on my short and putting game more so than my approach. My main weapons and assets are my aggressive long drives, paired with my short/putting game. I've been focusing on this style of play since I started playing, because I love good putting strokes coupled with long drives, thats my strategy ...
  22. I use stock titleist velvet cords(made by golf pride) for my irons, and ping cord grips for my all my other clubs...
  23. I prefer both classic and sneaker style golf shoes, I don't think there's anything wrong with either style of golf shoes, I use a pair of classic footjoys and sneaker style nike air tour tw 8.5's, nothing wrong with 'em at all ...
  24. My dad is better than me, I started playing golf because of him, he's around an 8 handicap, I'll beat him some day though ...
  25. I mostly go to the range around 3 times a month, or on some occasions, I'll go once a week, all to work and improve on my technique, I'm done hitting the ball recklessly like I used to when I was younger...
