I say Mizuno because I really like mine. But I would make sure to try all of them though and make sure that the one you decide fits you the best.

I use a Scotty Camerson which is made for Titleist, so I said Titleist. I really like it and if you are looking for a putter, I would not hesitate to try a bunch of them and not be scared to spend money for it. The putter is the most used club in the bag on the golf course. Unless you are a really good putter and a really bad player.

Preference for Judging Distance?
clemsontiger replied to Big_M's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I use the course marking and use that as a distance. Once I have that, I really just go with what feels right. -
What is the Life Cycle of your golf quipment?
clemsontiger replied to gotgolf?'s topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I dont know if it is all about when. I have just updated my driver and 4 wood because I wanted some new technology and I really like what I have. I will keep them until I start having real trouble with them or until they get really worn out. That is the same with my irons. I replaced them becasue I wanted to get back to a blade type iron. The putter is something I have benn changing though. i have been searching for one that I like the feel of. I am really happy with what I have, so I am going to keep it until I just have that feeling that I have to get something else. -
What do you hit from 200 yards?
clemsontiger replied to nykfan4life's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
In Scotland, there is usually a pretty good wind and that is why. I usually hit a 5 iron from 200 because that is what I feel the most comfortable hitting from that distance. The other day I hit a 4 iron from 190 into a par 5 and the pin was in the front of the green. I hit the ball high and soft and there was about a 15 mph wind in the face as well. -
I try to at least hit ball once a week at the worst. I had a long drought spell when I was in college where I did not even touch my clubs but about 12 times during the 6 years it took me to finish my degree and get my masters.

A lot of factors play into this, but if I am by myself and there is not that many people around slowing you down, then 3.5 is easy. If I am by myself and not practicing at all, then 3 is not out of the question.

I have had a bunch of different putter and tried a bunch of different ones, and I could not be any happier with my Scotty. I am hooked on them for life.
-
I have lost one before and someone turned it in, so I would never keep one for myself.
-
I talk a lot with the people that I play with. But when it comes time to hit the ball, I am all business and expect a little etticate.
-
I would say go back and retee, but the people on the course would really get mad so I usually drop in the worst possible spot to kind of add to the penelty shot that I am adding. Unless I am playing for score, or if the course is not busy at all I go back and retee the ball and try again with added strokes.

Right now, I waste all of my shots when I pull out a wedge. Those are supposed to be scoring irons and you should be pretty accurate with them, but that is where I am struggling the most. If anyone has any suggestions as to how I can make them any better, I will give you all the background and information that you could ever want to give me an honest opinion. Actually, I might start a new thread to get some suggestions.

I say no because it is more around it being luck than a godish figure. Everyone has always said that they would rather be lucky than good, but I think that I would rather be good at golf with luck showing up every now and again.
-
I would want to be able to shoot under par at some point. There is not point in being an even par person. That would make it booring to play like that. Then it would be no point in practicing and trying to be better at something.

That type of small course is good for target golf. That is really good for training yourself to play you way around the course and have a strategy. I would like to have one of those around to do some practicing, but I still like the really long courses. The longer clubs are the one that usually get you in the most trouble. I like playing long courses to test my ability to control the long shots and navigate my way around the course.

There is just so much variance as to what you do, but someone but up a chart that looks about right. I tend to put the wedges farther back in my stance though. That way I make sure that I hit down on them and get some good control of the spin on it.

Flighted Rifle 6.0 or 6.5?
clemsontiger replied to thumper07's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
With the stiffer shafts it is supposed to help you control the ball more. That was the whole reason for me getting the 6.5 in mine. I could have gone with just a normal stiff in everything that I have, but I do not really need the whipping motion to get distance. I am good in that department. I needed the stiffer shaft to get control. There is nothing worse that hitting the ball really long and not having control over it. That gets you in a whole lot of trouble. I just have to ask if you have tried the Project X. If you like the rifle shafts, you might want to give them a try. -
What difference does Torque make to a shaft
clemsontiger replied to Caddyshack's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I am using a heavier shaft than I was and I do like it better. I am not sure what role it plays in the torque. They also told me that I would hit the heavier shaft lower than the lighter one, but that is not the case. I actually hit it high as well. I have not checked the kick point, but that it just what I have noticed. But to justify the high ball flight, I hit everything really high. -
What wedge/loft combo are you using?
clemsontiger replied to JYB's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
To add to my 52/56/60, I am also carrying a 46, but it is a part of my set as a PW and I really do not count that one. -
Pick your favorite players irons!
clemsontiger replied to JYB's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I will say that the Project X is much better than the dynamics. I have them in my Mizuno's and I really like them. They are a little lighter than the Dynamics, but they feel much better at impact than the Dynamics. It is a feel and preference though. Which ever one feels better to you. -
Switching to Titleist ProV1.
clemsontiger replied to InTheTwenties's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I do have a high swing speed, so I cannot really tell the difference. I like to use them when I am playing in tournaments, but a lot of the time when I am practicing on the course, I hit a bunch of balls especially off the tee, so I do not use them a whole lot there. I normally use a NXT Tour when I am practicing. They are a little cheaper incase I loose some of them off the tee. -
Longest Iron in Bag... And More
clemsontiger replied to Reval14's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I still carry a 3 iron and really like it. The most lofted wood that I carry in the bag is a 4 wood. I only have a driver and 4 wood. I am not sure that I will every replace anything with a hybrid. I just like the flexibility of the real irons. -
I do not think so. Sophie is not as hot in my opinion as Kim.
