  1. I used to work at a golfgalaxy. I found it to be a good store with friendly and knowledgeable people. So, that's where I cast my vote.
  2. What kind of wedges did you get?.........What brand?
  3. Best putting advice I ever got: Get your eyes over the ball at address. Helped me see the line so much better.

    Keep Stats

I should do it more often... It doesn't take much extra effort, I just get lazy sometimes...
  5. Played the 9 Hole Executive at Harding Park (Fleming Park). Shot a 5 over 35. Hit a 350 yard drive on a 425 hole (had 75 into the green). Also got a GIR on the 235 par 3 (first time I did that) with my 18* Cleveland driving iron. Good day overall for my second time out in a year.
  6. Just play to kill.... i mean win. I like match play and really thrive off it when I'm playing. I'd take match play over a scramble or stroke play any day. I find that I play better during match play when I take the risks and not play for score. Yeah, the match has more up and down swings, but that's part of the fun.
  7. I sometimes have a legit reason to pop the collar. When its sunny out and I forgot to put sunscreen on my neck, I will pop the collar to prevent burning =) I do not do it to look like a thug, ever.
  8. I really just put on whatever golf shirt I pull from the closet, and throw on some shorts or pants, depending on the temp. I also will pull out a Patagonia long underwear top and put it in my bag in case I get chilly. I much rather wear that than a jacket on the course.
  9. I turn lost clubs in. Sometimes, I'll even hollar at the group in front of me to see if anyone left it.
  10. How do these perform around the green? I've been reading a little and it seems like people are having problems getting their chips to check up on the greens. Any truth to this?
  11. I'm looking at the 52 more because of the 35 yard gap between my SW (56*) and my PW (48* according to a spec sheet I found). 52 would be smack in the middle. What do people think about the CG10s? I managed to hit one this afternoon and it felt decent. Do they wear out quickly?
  12. as far as getting fit for wedges, is that any different than getting fit for irons?
  13. MacGregor - love their irons, best I have ever hit.
  14. Well, I've got few questions about getting new wedges. Currently I carry two wedges. 56 Cleveland 588 TSC, and a 60 Cleveland 588 RTG (I don't really like the rust on the RTG though... I think it chews up the balls quicker, but that could just be paranoia). I have a 20-25 yard gap between my PW and my 56 (PW is about 130-135 yards, 56 is 110 yards). Naturally, I've been thinking about getting a gap wedge, most likely a 52. I love my Cleveland wedges, but I can't find the TSC anymore (my favorite out of the 588s), and I haven't hit the CG10s or CG12s. So, I'm calling out for advice! How are the CG10s and the 12s? How do they compare to the 588s? I've been looking for a 52* CG10, but I can't find anything online, should I start looking for a 52 CG12? Do the CG10s wear out the grooves quickly because of their softer metal? Any advice (even "go try another brand") would be appreciated. Would it be worth replacing all of my wedges at once? Thanks!
  15. I'm a fan of the Pro V1X, but only when I can afford it. I've been using some old balls recently because I can't afford $40+ a box for the V1Xs
  16. Great find! Thanks for posting this =)
  17. Cleveland 588's. 56 TSC and 60 RTG.
  18. Tiger. Can't beat what he did at the open, playing on a blown ACL...
  19. Harding Park, home of the 2009 President's Cup!
  20. I'm a law student at UC Hastings, currently being a summer associate a firm in San Francisco
