  1. I'll quote you because you said EDM but I'm more into progressive breaks, prog house, melodic electronica and some classic late 1990s trance sounds if I feel nostalgic!
  2. I knew it was the half season finale but next July? NEXT JULY!? I can't wait that long!
  3. It really doesn't bother me if my credit card gets skimmed or cloned or whatever. I pay close attention to my bills and statements and the times when I have had an issue I'll just dispute it and it gets removed right away, job done. Chase and Amex have always treated me very well in this respect. As it see it they're just stealing the bank's money and it's not my problem until it gets round to settling the bill at month's end. People who use debit cards are frankly fools in my mind.
  4. Although given the uses of apostrophes they have no place in denoting a decade of a plural. Neither are contractions or indicating possession. I don't see why it's difficult. A plural requires an 's' on the end, not an apostrophe.
  5. Great show. I watched on Netflix from Season 1 to where we are now in a couple of months. Ace.
  6. Or the more aggressive, "Your retarded". I automatically assume anyone who incorrectly uses homophones has double digit IQ. Others that really bother me are shitty uses of apostrophes: -It's 1950s not 1950's, unless you're specifically to something from 1950. -The plural of an acronym or number doesn't need an apostrophe. "United have many 737s amongst their fleet"..."The interest rate on ARMs is variable after 3 years" -Why do people think an apostrophe is needed to make something plural? pizza's?! menu's? pro's?
  7. Not really, besides I can't do a whole lot I can do about it. I chose to drive a twin turbo V12 car...rather annoys me when people who have large capacity engines whine when the price goes up. When it's a 10% rise is that really going to break the bank unless you're driving 50,000 miles a year in which case you can probably expense it anyway...
  8. ...and yet you still haven't figured out how to spell the name correctly! Did you buy it with your Amex Centurian card too?
  9. Surely it depends on how much of an audiophile you are. Only you can really answer that question.
  10. Warwickshire? A lot more rough than I guessed!
  11. Have a gander... http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid;=73
  12. You could email them to yourself in just a few clicks and download.
  13. So what's the underpriced bit of gold dust in that ad?
  14. Just the one, was about 16 and at boarding school so not even sure if it counts but it was quite amusing. Something had been stolen from my room and I asked around and turned out someone was lying to me about it. I asked the accused guy again and he lied, his defence was to insult my father for no particular reason. Got him in a headlock and just ended up socking him round the nose a few times, putting blood up the wall of the room I was in. He decided to give in after a few minutes and go clear himself up. I had to go wash a cut I got on my knuckles and was a bit late for my class (which was attended by the same student). The teacher asked why I was late and I told him I got into a fight with this other kid. A few of the spectators were in my class and one shouted, 'Fraser won!' which elicited a 'Good work' from my teacher! (This other kid wasn't too popular). About ten minutes later the other kid arrived in the class and the teacher stopped class and said, 'I heard you got into a spot of bother with Fraser this morning. Better luck next time!'. For me the whole situation was quite amusing because I never considered myself tough and neither did anyone else, if anything quite the opposite! I'm not confrontational, you never know if someone's going to pull a knife or gun on you, or have fifteen heavies round the corner waiting to leave you in a pool of your own blood. In a small boarding school it's a more controlled environment, you at least know the capabilities of your opponents!
  15. Haha, in the UK, and most of Europe, Stella Artois is as common as muck.
  16. I felt the same way just after I saw 'Snakes On A Plane'....Samuel L. Jackson was with my wife and I in the airline's lounge at London Heathrow waiting for a flight. I bet anyone that recognised him on his flight to Italy were thankful he was onboard
  17. 24. Didn't get into it at the beginning and thought watching midway through would ruin it. Now with Netflix streaming all 202 episodes are on demand. Started with episode 1 on Saturday evening and now watched 8. Also working my way through UK Top Gear.
  18. As someone who travels quite a bit I can't fathom how people arranged vacations and travel back in the pre-internet, or even early internet days...I travelled quite a bit as a kid and remember going to the American Express travel agent to collect our carbon paper tickets but in terms of planning, well most TAs are utter bozos. I look at how I plan my trips now and the tools I use...hotel websites to look up floor plans, look up best seats onboard, manage frequent flyer schemes, research things to do at various places...My head hurts thinking about planning travel without the internet.
  19. Lamb and buffalo burgers as weird? I guess it depends on what you classify as weird but wildebeest, kudu, octopus, ostrich, kangaroo pizza, goose, sea urchin, conger eel... Plus pretty much every course that I had when I dined here: http://www.mandarinoriental.com/tokyo/dining/molecular/ http://fbgd.shutterfly.com/1116
  20. Oh. my. god. Epic!
  21. Quote: I think you may be the first, and only, person to prefer US Top Gear over the BBC one. Not sure what makes you think they love British cars over anything else, in part because there are hardly any left! If you are referring to the classic British sports car challenge (Series 15, episode 6 - thanks Wikipedia!) then that was utterly tongue in cheek and they were mocking them throughout.
  22. Still a fan here!
  23. Glad to hear you're fine microcrayfish . Was in Christchurch a couple of years ago, stayed at the Heritage and the view from our room was at the cathedral so to see it as it is today is a crying shame. My thoughts are with those who weren't as fortunate as yourself...
