I always stick with my driver, if I'm slice/pushing everything I will compensate with aim/stance/grip. I don't usually have a problem with pull/hooking although the last round I played I was pulling everything left. I never did figure it out. Oh well, damn the torpedos. The driver is the most fun to hit of all the clubs in my bag.

Gas was $1.29/gal yesterday. I haven't left the house today, crappy weather.

Props to OU for that beating they put on Tech. OU does it to me every year, if I am counting on them for a win, they flop, if I want them to lay down, they play lights out.

imho, Oakley and Bolle are the the best sunglasses you can buy. The lenses both of these companies use can't be beat for optical clarity, throw in the multitude of frame choices and it's a no brainer. Every time I buy a cheap pair of glasses I lose them or break them, but if I drop a $100+ on a pair I make damn sure I know where they are at all times.

HaHa, those were the s#!t back in the late 80's maybe into the very early 90's. To the OP how much is too much for you to spend on sunglasses? If you keep an eye on this website http://www.steepandcheap.com they have incredible deals on sunglasses.

I work a weekend shift in a factory, it isn't the most exciting job but the pay is pretty good and I have 4 days a week to play. Usually walk 9 on Mon. and Thurs., 18 on Tues. or Wed.

Have fun, should be a madhouse wish I could be there. I don't have a dog in this fight, but I would like to see Tech stay undefeated and get to the NC. (Disclaimer: I in no way condone dog fighting)

True that, I can't wait to see the Tech vs. OU game. I'm hoping for a Florida/Texas Tech national championship game. That Tech offense looked pretty nasty last night.

We shall see, Alabama doesn't look nearly as invincible as ESPN and the SEC nut swinger would have us believe. Texas Tech on the other hand laid the wood to another top 25 team, go Big 12.

I've only played one round this summer that took more than 4.5 hours. One of the guys in the group thinks he's a freakin tour player, it took forever on every shot for him to hit it. I was fed up about 3 holes in, just hit the damn ball. The worst part, after we got done he didn't even realize that it took 5 hours to play 18 holes. End Rant

I always play during the week, only way to go. There have been days when I didn't see another golfer until I got to the tee box on #9.

Why is that the SEC gets so much love, yet the Big 12 has 4 teams in the top 10 of the BCS? Looks like the Big 12 is the true power conference.

Don't forget they also televise the national spelling bee, I guess that makes spelling a sport. Golf is a sport, physical skills = sport So that would eliminate poker, chess, and yes,even spelling as sports.

My 2 best drives of the year came on back to back holes swinging as hard as I could. I did it out of frustration on the first tee (17th), I dug a throwaway ball out of the bag and striped it dead center of the fairway. On the 18th swung as hard as I could and actually put a draw on it, luckily because if it had gone straight it would have been in the water. The bad part is I haven't been able to repeat those results.

Yeah he cashed in on it, I just can't listen to his macho crap knowing he got punked like that. I don't begrudge his success, just don't like the guy.

Yeah, it was before Rome went nationwide. He was interviewing Jim and kept calling him Chris (the female tennis player), I guess him and his "clones" found it funny. Jim however took exception to it and warned Rome to stop or else. The next time Rome said it Everret stood up and made a move for him, Rome went to the floor and begged Everret not to hit him. Rome got owned on his own tv show.
