www.golfwits.com it is a software which is better than sky caddie, and more than a scorecard stat program. 1. use realtime map course software in your pda cellular to mark shots and get distances while playing. 2. pc software to transfer your round and get stats 3. if they dont have your map, they will make it. 4. print out yardage pro books of each hole your welcome

Intech Limbo low compression balls?
DynamicDave replied to Soup Fan's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
THEY WILL GO LONGER ON DRIVES, IRONS AND WEDGES IF YOU'RE NOT CAREFUL. BUT I USE IT TO MY ADVANTAGE. I USED TO PLAY ULTRA balls on the drive and swap a top flite FEEL ball on the next shot. but now i play the INTECH LIMBO ULTRA SOFT all the way from tee to hole. -
u will gain consistency. please look at this video and the extras on the left once u are there. thanks. http://video.aol.com/video/mike-laba...id=VIDURVSPR03

i landed the ball on 2nd shot in a ditch-like path filled with lava rocks going across the fairway from one side to the other. i had no shot. so here i go to drop the ball behind the obstacle instead of in front. the width of the ditch/ rocks was only like 5-8 feet with no water. so i drop about 5 feet back, i line up and take my shot thinking no problem to clear. ball hits rock, deflects back to my mouth, rips my right lower lip and breaks my front top right tooth in half. i now have a porcelain tooth replacement.

The story behind everything...what's in your bag?
DynamicDave replied to lamebums's topic in Golf Talk
old irons were top flite starter set, oversized cavity back with 2 hybrid clubs. sold them for a pro standard set which is listed in my signature. just sold the adams driver in my sig, looking to buy a square driver on ebay, will update sig in a few days. leaning towards a clone square driver. i got hooked on high moi square design by using my brothers NIKE Sumo2 and his best friends iDRIVE. i am making a choice between Nickent, SV, iDRIVE, or Tour Sonic. i had a scotty cameron futura putter, sold it for money issues. now using a nice adjustable weight putter which plays well. wedges were a steal sale and play awesome. -
i wanna say jack was better. i think he mighta been more of a natural swinger. Tiger is more methodical. check out jack nicklaus 1986 masters on youtube. that being said, i'd like to see how many titles Tiger would win if he used the old technology Jack was using back then, not that he wouldnt win, just to see.

yes, make a slow but full swing. if its not buried and sitting high on the sand, maybe u can get away with a chip style play.

point 1: i work 8am to 5pm point 2: i make only $11/hr point 3: i support my baby and her mama and the bills. the mama pays for food with state food stamps. point 4: i called to make sure, and they dont charge to practice putting or pitching. so, the cart guys, the cashier, and the director have seen me practicing as early as 545pm weelky when i go. the cashier swaps days with the cart guy to pick up flags. they always chat with me and ask if they can pick up the flag now. they close at 6pm. paid players remain on course when management leaves, naturally. they dont and cannot charge after 6pm. FORCED RESTRICTION TO PLAY DOES NOT BEGIN TIL 8PM, this is when the security personnel arrive in uniform for overnight patrol, i know them too. so u guys think its wrong for me to play 4 holes when there is still sunlight left? or are u just having fun poking at me? as a matter of fact i am going today just like yesterday. what i ment by "the cart guys like the way i hit" can better be translated by instead of them saying " hey u didnt pay get out of here" they say stuff like "nice hit dave, better than yesterday" ps will reputation points get me frequent flyer miles? lol

ok, it might not be FREE golf, maybe i can call it no fee golf. i dont think there is anything wrong with it, because another example of this happening is downtown parking meters. i know for sure because the sign says so. well the street parking meter needs to be paid during day hours, but as soon as 5pm hits the clock, u dont have to pay to park even if there is a meter there. so anyone who puts money into it at that time or later is just silly. so why would anyone pay $10 to play 4 holes at 6pm when the golf course cashier closes up. MAYBE WHAT I'LL DO IS TAKE A VIDEO OF ME SHOWING UP AT 6PM AND THEN SHOW THE CLOSED SECURITY AND THEN SHOW ME HAVING A LAUGH WITH THE CART GUY AND THEN SHOW ME PLAYING 4 HOLES. ANYBODY KNOW ANY WAY TO GET "100% TOTALLY ANYTIME" FREE GOLF?

mangine, i was talking about a nice replacement club for the driver u listed on your signature. by the way i like how u did that, lol. so yea, that driver i mentioned will have u hitting straight long about 270-300. i average 270 with my friends' idrive and i aint swinging full power.

the course is a city course, which means the city does not depend on its patrons for upkeep or payroll money. if it did then it would go out of business because there is not much action at the course. i know this because i am there 3 times a week and saturday sunday. not much money coming in. on weekends i pay full price for 18 holes and cart. anyhow, it closes at 6pm, and the people in the main building leave and close the security blinds. any players with rented carts still playing can remain until dark, the only employees there after closing are the cart guys. they start picking up flags at 7pm. they see me and have never said anything. they actually like how i hit the balls and we share laughs. some guy sent me a bad reputation message and called me a jackass. sounds like he wishes he could play free golf and be kool with the workers.

on hole 7, people in my sixsm always pull out a hybrid. i use a iron. the hole is 204 from back and 190 from front. on fronts i use a 7 maybe a 6. on backs i use a 6 maybe a 5 or 4. from what i can tell they dont have confidence in their iron distance and accuracy. i feel irons are better in this case. and i never try to roll it up to the green, i always want to land on the green first.

IN MY TOWN THERE ARE 4 COURSES. One is private, but playable with permission or sponsor. about 3 times a week, m-f, i usually show up at 545pm to BCC municipal course and warm up a bit on the putting or chipping greens. then like at 615pm i'll slide on a few yards to the left of the chipping green and play the last 4 holes for FREE. this is easy to do because i can see when they are closing down the main building windows with the aluminum covers for security overnight. ANYONE else do the same, or have a way to play FREE?
-
mangine: look up idrive square drivers on ebay and get one rugger: stack and tilt will help. but practice til u find your swing and then dont practice after u found it. u dont want to overdo practicing something that isnt broke. warming up is enough after u know how to swing.

Where to put weight on the putter head?
DynamicDave replied to tonyy's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
just wanted to add this, it crossed my mind. drivers often have a convex face curve, like the outer part of a bannana moon. this helps a lil to keep ball straight on drives. would this work on putters? what about concave face putters? -

I USED TO USE A SCOTTY CAMERON FUTURA (GRAY HORSHOE TYPE), AND I LOVED IT. but then i needed money a few months later so i sold it. still, it was the best feeling putter that almost swung itself and the weight arc on the back works like the new square box drivers, so use that concept when weighting the putter. my current putter has adjustable weights on heel and toe. -

How do you stop "over thinking" it?
DynamicDave replied to slinkee's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
hi, just to be clear, i am not talking about muscle memory. your AWARENESS of what u want will allow you to focus like a pro on the golf course. this awareness is the spawn of my digging in, which is the feeling of being balanced or grounded/ rooted, a call to my subconcious telling it its time to do its magic again. then i swing without worry, using my new swing style i talked about and let my body and mind do the rest. awareness of what u want is different than trying to force or control it. basically, i know my swing technique is dependable and repeatable. i can count on my awareness of what i expect to manifest in a swing which i dont have to think about. ball trajectory is a reward which happens on its own with my swing, and all i keep my focus on is flag direction. NIKE says it well: just do it. -
How do you stop "over thinking" it?
DynamicDave replied to slinkee's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
hi, allow me to educate those who would like into the world of " mind training ". there is a mental focus technique which will stop the chatter or over thinking. i will also make this into a new thread of its own: advanced visualization for golf swing routine how i made this breakthrough (background story) : i was a intermediate player with a 36 handicap with the blame on iron accuracy. so, one day a few months ago i was playing the ninth (355 par 4) and my drive landed 115 away on the right side of a 10ft hill slope, i couldnt get a good stance. i was fiddling around with stance postures over the ball, and then i pictured a digging down motion but with my backside almost completely facing the flag. this was weird but it worked in my mind and felt natural. i hit it and landed on the front fringe just off the green, flag was playing short that day so i was 5 yards to the hole, not bad. i tried it again to test theaory. this time on the green 3 yards away from hole. it works off of normal level ground too!! wow, why is noone doing this swing i said. people i was playing with were saying "good shot" often. been practicing this method ever since. there is 2 parts to the method: the actual swing style, and the visualization or grounded feeling. read on. advanced visualization for golf swing routine : overthinking how to swing is a conscious effort. conscious is your mind that talks in the now, it wants to control the golf swing. ANY conscious thought good or bad is your enemy when it comes to movement, or the swing portion of the golf shot. That is because the swing movement is handled in the subconscious part of the brain using PICTURES , (think of being in the ZONE in any sport, they dont think they just do it) Conscious thoughts only interfere with the process because thoughts are words but PICTURES are worth a thousand words, without the chatter. WHAT PICTURES? Everyone has at least two minds, the conscious and subconscious. The conscious is used for decisions, questions and logic. The subconscious, runs the body functions, guides movement, and stores your memory. Although the two minds can work together, the subconscious can do just about everything the conscious can do, but the conscious cannot do anything that the subconscious can do. That said, the subconscious cannot exist without the conscious to give the commands. The conscious is the boss, and the subconscious is the super-employee that can do everything except decide what should be done. Here's the problem during a golf shot... The boss (the conscious) wants to make sure he's in control and often ends up getting involved in and hurting the process. The boss has to be there to decide on the shot, but he has to know when to let his super-employee do his job of guiding the body accurately through the swing movement. The swing portion of a golf shot happens in the subconscious(the super-employee) and conscious thoughts(the boss) can only hurt the process. At first it seems logical that thinking about something other than the swing will keep the conscious mind from getting involved in the swing. And this does work, but there is a problem with it. What if the swing isn't working so good on its own that day? Are you going to be able to trust it? Can you not think about it? Or do you just have to accept your B or C game that day? This is where the current methods break down. It is also the reason many 1st and second round leaders don't win tournaments, but there is an answer. If the swing isn't working well, the conscious mind(the boss) will be asking what the hell is going on. The subconscious will be doing everything it can to produce the best movement, but it now has to deal with a boss(conscious thought) in it's ear. The problem is that the subconscious just doesn't have a clear picture that day and the boss can't do anything about it... But make matters worse. The breakdown happens in the process the subconscious uses to create clear pictures and has nothing to do with your conscious thought process. OK so what is the answer? The answer is to split the conscious mind out of the shot(get the boss out of the room) before the swing is made. Since the subconscious uses pictures to guide movement, we can make the swing more accurate if we find a way to make the pictures as clear as possible. How? Remember what happened in the dark room when we touched something? Instant picture! u know where u are as soon as u touch something in the dark room. another example is when u trip, your body automatically reacts by reaching to brace with the arms. Instead of trying to use thought to create visualization, you can use this same touch feedback system to make clear pictures for your subconscious to follow. I'm talking about your internal balance feedback system. One of the ways it monitors your balance is by monitoring the surfaces of your body that touch the ground in relation to the force of gravity felt in those areas. (Think of a baseball hitter settling into the batters box, or a pitcher digging into the mound before he pitches) The best part is that the internal feedback makes the pictures, so all you have to do is focus and let them play. Your body will do the rest. What you have is a feedback system that you can use to rerun a swing in your mind, see it as if you were watching a video and fix it right on the spot... On the range, the golf course or at home hours or days after you have played. Used properly, this feedback system can be used to fix swings during the swing... All without the distraction of conscious thought. this simple method of visualization will spill over to your business, job, or life, giving you a valuable resource you will use to solve problems faster than ever before. THE WAY I USE THIS: i just remember how to setup for that off the hill shot i mentioned in the beginning, i feel for the weight on my front leg/heel, DO MY SWING STYLE and grip it and rip it. my subconcious takes care of the accuracy. GOOD LUCK!! -
honestly, i use kroydon "paul harney" professional swing balanced irons made in the late 1970's. its a set from 2-pw. i have no trouble hitting these and prefer to hit long irons over hybrids. for my wedges i use prosimmon icon 52 and 60 degree. i bought the wedges at golf outlets usa, online. each wedge was $9 thru their ebay store. maybe its just my technique, but i hit these like a pro as well. i rarely have to chip or pitch. so i say save some money and get a economic wedge set and spend your money on driving range practicing your technique. golf is a game where u must make your own breakthrough. i did. putting is where i need practice!!!!!!! one thing: my clubs are pro standard muscleback, not oversized or cavity back.
