I thought the same thing about Golfsmiths greens. I couldnt believe how good I was putting in there with every putter I tried until I fanned the head open on a putt on accident and I was thinking this is going to be bad then I watch the ball roll down and take a left turn and cozy up to the cup. Yeah....o.k. The cups are probably a little bigger too!

Isnt it quite possible the guy made a simple mistake? You should have called him on it and found out if he was right or if you were right. Your card might have been wrong if people werent reporting their scores to you. And keeping your own score card doesnt have to be a secret.

For the chipping and pitching: Get yourself a shagbag and fill it with balls. Then try to chip and pitch everyday even if its in your backyard. Concentrate mainly on where you want the ball to land. A half hour a day of this will work wonders for your score. I hate to practice putting too. 15 minutes before I tee off is about all I do anymore. If you are consistantly leaving the ball short or long on putts try looking at the line from the side also , not just from dtl . This will give your mind a more accurate distance of the ball to the hole.

I clean my grips with alcohol . I just use water and a nylon brush for the heads and grooves. I think I will start trying the wet towel method on the course like others have mentioned.

I started at age 32 which was four years ago. I never ever dreamed it would be this hard to pick up. I will say I have probably never worked harder at something or put as much effort into and got so little in return. With that said.......no I dont have a handle on it and never will.

I play from the whites because thats where the scorecard says thats where my handicap should play from .

I usually hit the specials or use my American Lung discount book. Out of the 5 courses within 30 minutes of me I pay on average 24.00 for 18 with a cart.

Congrats on the doe. Our season comes in Oct. 1st. These cool mornings are starting to get me pumped up.

The only time im trying this shot is if its late in the round and my score is terrible.

Phil has been downhill since he quit wearing the Bearing Point hats. I have counted Padraig out the last two times and he won. He is a grinder and Hes riding high right now. I have to go with Paddy but would rather see Phil win it.

1) I think he plays off a nine handicap. He has good tempo and probably plays consistantly. He also holds his lag well so he gets sufficient distance.His set up looks pretty good also. 2) I think his iron shot was a high fade. His driver was probably a low ball going straight caused by the hip slide. If his grip wasnt so strong he would probably hit cut shot. 3) He has the traits of a two plane swinger with the narrow upright stance and across the line at the top of his swing. I would have him stop swaying the hips so much and start setting the club earlier in the backswing. I would experiment with a weaker grip too. Once he fixes the hips he will probably be snaphooking with that grip. Over all he has a good swing with the potential for good golf when his timing and tempo is on.

Glad you got it fixed. Make sure you waggle the club before every shot. That helps me get the right grip pressure for the shot im about to make or I should say the shot im about to attempt.

An 88 with a 16 HC is pretty good. 12 greens is pretty awesome too. You should definately fix that putter. 41 putts is not great but not as bad as it sounds since you hit so many greens. Read this article. It helped me. http://findarticles.com/p/articles/m...n/ai_112104116

So does anybody know if Titleist will release the new wedges at the time of the expo? A buddy told me thats when all the new equipment is released to the vendors to sale. The dates are for Aug 25 - 28 in Vegas. Thats next week ! I want one of these new wedges.

It looks to me like you are casting the club from the top without transferring any weight forward in the downswing. The right heel is off the ground but all your weight still looks centered. If you were driving forward your right knee would be closer to your left. I would try the hip bump to start the downswing like someone else already suggested. That would take care of holding your lag also.

Congrats on your breakthru. I sometimes play like an 11....but I sometimes play like a 18 or worse. I thought this year would be my break out year but its been one thing or another. Good luck man and keep it falling.

After reading some of the responses I see Im in a different situation. I never get paired up or stuck playing with people I dont know. I can see where getting stuck with people you dont know would suck but it could possibly lead to new playing partners. If they are acting that bad I would make an excuse and leave and restart my round. I paid to play and enjoy myself...not to spend my day with an idiot throwing his clubs around.

I would finish my round with them but not play with them again. Especially people who throw their clubs. After they cool down I might say something like "Remind me not to buy any clubs off you." They might get the hint.

I just bought the etonic G Sok shoes. Man I love these things. I havent played in wet conditions with them yet but they are very comfy. They are the spikeless design.

Lol good thread. I seemed to have found a permanate residence with the 15s.

I finally feel satisfied knowing I have the right driver for me instead of buying off the rack and hoping like I have done in the past. When you change shafts it will probably change the ball flight. I would definately try them on a monitor first if possible. Those G10s are supposed to be awesome heads.

With the burner at 13 degree I was getting 14 degree launch angle. Im glad I switched to the higher loft. My ball flight is so much better now.
