  1. And jealous? Are you insane? Jealous that you can do something anyone person on earth can do? What a weak and insecure person you must be to assume I am jealous of you lol.
  2. Whats up with Canada? Are you all just a$$holes with no sense of humor? Lighten up already geez. I made one silly little comment and you got your panties all up in a bunch over it. Relax already.
  3. I just noticed you are only 16, I guess that explains the teenage angst lol It's all good dude, you really are the man don't worry.
  4. Really? The girls love it? Are you playing at the playboy mansion? I am sure they are laughing, but probably not WITH you lol. Oh yeah, and the only guys that can't do it are dead, quadriplegic or blind. It's really not a skill dude.
  5. Wow you can bounce a ball on a golf club. Gee what a stud you are to be able to do what any human with at least one arm and one eye can do after about 3 minutes of practice. Wow I am really impressed. Even more impressed that you chose to assume that I cannot. Seriously. You just keep bouncing your ball and the rest of us will just keep laughing at you and your sad little attempt to look cool. Rock on dude.
  6. Well after you go get your venous doppler ultrasound to rule-out a DVT Or wait, it could be PAD if your pain gets worse with walking...better throw in an arterial doppler too Then again, it could all be avascular necrosis from an av malformation, aneurysm or other defect - I would get a CPK level too Oh hell just get an MR angiogram on the whole leg. OK now that you have blown 5 grand on tests. try increased fluids and then pick up some calcium tablets. Calcium is an ion that is involved with muscle contraction and relaxation. An old school doctor told me about this trick. When I do a lot of mountain biking I will sometimes get calf cramps and I have found that 1200mg of calcium usually helps a lot. Stretching is very important also, this cannot be over emphasized.
  7. Attention all people that walk around the putting/chipping practice area bouncing a golf ball on the head of your wedge. Please stop immediately, you look ridiculous. Someone had to say it.
  8. When I play with my friends, we don't always play by all the "official" rules. We allow each other to fudge once in a while but all stick to the same standards that we have all agreed on. But in fourputt's defense, you did ask what the "rules" were, and he answered you. That being said, I personally feel that in the circumstances you described, what you did was perfectly reasonable.
  9. I tried it a couple years ago for french, learned a few come-on lines to try out on the wife that seemed to work pretty well Otherwise I was not really all that impressed with the program.
  10. And just why was putter not an option?
  11. OK now I know there are a lot of golf snobs that frown on "clone" clubs or any driver that does not cost $3000.00, so this is not meant for you people :p. Anyway, I am a fairly new player who has been using a RAM 460cc 10 deg. driver that I got on clearance from Sports Authority for like $39. At the driving range I usually hit about 50% of my drives straight (shots that would stay on a fairway) and the rest are raining all over hell and back. My average distance with the range balls is about 200-220 yards on the fly with more after the roll. I picked up a set of gigagolf irons about 3 months ago and noticed an immediate difference in my iron shots. I decided to get the gigagolf GX squared Ti because of the great irons and even better customer service I received from GG. I got a 12 degree head with a mid-size wrap grip, 1/2" over with an upgraded graphite shaft. I received my driver yesterday and hit the range. My first shot sliced off the right edge of the club head and shot up and to the right, hitting the fence. OK that was just nerves. Next shot actually hit the 250 sign on the fly (ok its a big sign, but still it was pretty cool) The rest of my drives were about 80% straight and 20-40 yards further than I ever hit before. I still had a few total muffs but they were my own fault because I rushed or tensed up or just sucked. What really impressed me was how many shots were now heading straight compared to the old driver. It really seemed to be very forgiving of my rookie swing. I am now completely sold on the squared head drivers. I just had to tell somebody :)
  12. I still say that anyone that works here - and that means profits financially in any way- should speak the language. If you come to American to profit from the freedom and improved quality of life we have here, you should respect it enough to learn English. There is no valid argument against this period.
  13. I never said they should NOT be allowed to speak Korean, as long as they learn some English too. I really don't care what someone speaks or how many languages they know, as long as the language of the country they are currently living in is one of them. I just think its a shame that people come here to take advantage of benefits that are not available in their home country but don't have the respect to learn the language. You can't have it both ways. You want the perks then put in the work. You want the benefits of living here, then show you are respectful of the opportunity and learn the language. This goes not only for golf but for all sports, and anyone from a foreign country that wants to take advantage of America. Talk about distasteful, you like this country enough to come here and benefit from it but can't be bothered to learn to speak English? Give me a break.
  14. Here in Monterey CA we don't really have what most people consider "seasons" It's pretty much 65-80 year round with maybe 10-14 days of rain mixed in at various times. I get to play golf year round and never have to winterize my motorcycle
  15. You mean I am supposed to clean them? Now that explains a lot. Although they are usually pretty clean after I fish them out of the water hazard. Also, if coke works, what about diet coke? My clubs are on a low carb diet...I don't want them getting all fat like that driver.
  16. The fact that this is even an issue is a very sad statement for this country. This is America, we speak English here. Why is that so hard to understand. No-one is forcing women to play in the LPGA. You want to play here, (and live here for that matter) learn the language. If you want to speak only Korean then play in Korea. People crack me up when they want to come take advantage of a country because it has more to offer but then do not want to make any effort on their part to blend in or show any appreciation for being here. Damm this country is losing it's balls more and more every day.
  17. Caddyshack is the best golf movie ever, period. - "In order to conquer the animal, I have to learn to think like an animal. And, whenever possible, to look like one. I've gotta get inside this guy's pelt and crawl around for a few days" We had a gopher in our back yard a while back that I could not catch - and trust me my wife got REALLY tired of me quoting Carl Spackler daily. I really liked tin cup - the last scene where he hits like 10 balls into the water, I am so there almost every time I play :) I make sure I bring a lot of balls for this one hole at my local course because constantly try to hit over the water. It's not some 350 yard drive, but it's long enough that when I do make it, it's a great day no matter what my score. Happy Gilmore was just ok, had some funny stuff in it (the hole is your home, go to your home) but will never be the classic that caddyshack is - mainly because caddyshack had so many great actors in it. I mean come on, Chevy Chase, Rodney Dangerfield, Ted Knight, Bill Murry - Adam Sandler isn't in the same league. He is funny, but pretty much does the same routine in almost all his movies. Finally, I know this was not a golf movie, but the golf scenes in the movie Starsky and Hutch with Snoop Dogg were hilarious. - best quote "You know a lot about golf" - "I know even more about grass" I don't doubt that. I have not seen all of the movies some people mentioned, so this is just my $0.02.
  18. For what it's worth, I really like the brush T. I am still learning the game so the more things I can have that are consistent (like tee height) the better. Plus they last forever. I don't use them with irons, only the driver. If you do get them, keep the little plastic case and cap that they come in for storage. It will keep the bristles straight much longer in the bag. just my $0.02
  19. I write my ex-wife's name and phone number on them...then just leave them laying around....
  20. I wear 12EEEE and New Balance makes very comfortable shoes in 4E including golf shoes :)
  21. Yellow balls
  22. I got a set of GX920 irons a couple months ago - the customer service was the absolute best I have ever dealt with. The clubs are great, have a wonderful feel and I could not be happier. I noticed there are a lot of people on this forum that don't like "clones" but come on I am never going to find a 1/2" over length with a 2+ lie and mid size grips on flea-bay. The custom fit made all the difference for my swing. I was able to stop forcing the shot since the club is now inline with my body mechanics. GigaGolf rocks.
  23. I think the whole "oil crisis" was made up by the oil companies - you know the ones that own everyone in the White House - to freak us all out and sign away all rights to offshore drilling in marine sanctuaries. I mean come on look what happened after 9/11. The nation got freaked out and panicked and wrote Bush a blank check to do whatever he wanted. Look how that worked out. He got a free trip into Iraq to finish what his dad failed to do. At that time the TSA could have started doing rectal checks on every passenger at the airport and we would have all bent over, grabbed our ankles and said "this is for national security". Never underestimate the gullibility of the increasingly uneducated, brain dead biggest loser watching celebrity baby infatuated dolts that unfortunately have the right to vote in this country. We are being played. The oil companies want more profit, the best way to do that is go drill their own oil. They will let prices slide back down a little to decrease the urgency of hybrid vehicles for a while, then its back to $5/gallon. Just one more reason, our empire is on it's way out. All empires end. Good thing my son likes Chinese food
  24. The best way? Cheat Next best way - lots and lots of mulligans Finally, if you are already playing best ball, maybe shoot from the ladies tees?
  25. The key is to hit the ball just right. I have noticed that when I do this I get the best results. Hope this helps OK OK seriously, I am a novice so I have little to offer...but I have been told by better players that my iron game is pretty good. I can hit a 3 iron almost as far as a 3 wood. Anyway, the only little tidbit I can offer, the thing that really helped me is this - see the ball being hit. When I started concentrating on making sure I saw the club hit the ball every time it seemed to make most of my problems (lifting my shoulders, head etc) go away. I keep my left arm straight, make sure I see the contact on every swing and stay in the fairway almost every time. Also, I had my irons custom made - 2+ lie with +1/2" graphite shaft, mid size grip - that made a huge difference. You don't have to have $2000 irons, but you do need the right angles for your body. Ok thats all I got
