I have never had any, however I went to visit the inlaws in Florida this past week and my father in law now has had 3. LUCKY B*STARD. LOL. I think that he really is that good and will probably have more aces.

I got a SCOTTY FUTURA PHANTOM at the begining of the year and I love it. I just wish that I had played more this summer. I still have a month and a half to play, and I am going to golf a lot more in that time. I hope that you love your SCOTTY.

Mine would be a tie between the CALLAWAY BIG BERTHA FUSION FT-3 that I got a few years ago and my TITLEIST SCOTTY CAMERON FUTURA PHANTOM PUTTER that I just got a few weeks ago.

I need to get some driving range practice in to get my drives straightened out. Wish me luck.

The coolest creature that I have ever seen was an alligator. I was Playing in Florida with my father in law and him and his buddies were telling me about the gators on the course we were going to. I thought that they were teasing and full of , however at about the seventh hole I hit my ball over an elevated green and as I went over the green to find my ball, it was sitting about 20 feet from a gator. I ran picked up my ball and ran away as fast as I could. They were all laughing and gave me a free stroke. I was scared then, however now it is freaking hilarious to think about. LOL

Hitting Down on the Ball?!
Wisconsin Golfer replied to NYJetsfan's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
I tried the dominant eye theory today. I am right handed, however left eye dominant. This has posed a problem with putting in the past. Today, instead of fighting it I tried to use it to my advantage. I took your advice and it worked. I never more than 2 putted all day and the alignment was perfect almost everytime, I would have had even less putts, but I am still getting used to my new putter. I used it to hit down on the ball, too. It took me a few holes to get used to it, but by the 7th hole, I was dropping the ball on the green pretty nicely. It is going to take some practice, however great advice. Thank you BUNKERPUTT. -
Hitting Down on the Ball?!

I have stupid question. When people say they hit the ball "fat or thin" what do they mean? -
How to get the ball to spin
Wisconsin Golfer replied to Jemehl's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
WOW, that is a lot of info to take in and to analyze, however it does make sense. -
I can't remember how to hit the ball with my wedge to make it land on the green and stop or roll back. I Had learned how to do this at the end of last year. I forget if I am supposed to divot before striking the ball or after, or pinch the ball. I was stopping the ball pretty good last year, however with the long winter, I can't remember how I was striking the ball. Help please.

I have another question. Are the collectable putters that much better than a normal putter or are they just more rare? And do these guys play with these mega expensive putters or are they all show?

I put a post on here the other day saying that I had bought a new FUTURA PHANTOM putter. Since then I have been looking around online and have seen that people are really dedicated to these putters. There are collector conventions, websites, forums, and even a music video on YOUTUBE. I know that these putters are great, but why are are people so dedicated to these putters?

It rained today so I didn't get to play with the SCOTTY today, I am hoping to go golfing tommorrow though. I have been reading about SCOTTY CAMERONS and man people are really loving and dedicated to these putters.

I am in the same boat as you. I would love to have a golf buddy. I would play with you, however I am from Wisconsin. Hey, any Wisconsin / Illinois border people out there that need a golf buddy?

I bought a new TITLEIST SCOTTY CAMERON FUTURA PHANTOM today. I got it at a local golf pro shop for a demo price, however I don't think that it was ever used there is not a scratch on it. Do any of you have this or a favorite SCOTTY CAMERON of your own? I practiced with it today and it is a great putter, I even love the "ding" noise it makes.

I bought a box of CALLAWAY TOUR IX today. I have been using the CALLAWAY HOT BITE, however I can't get much distance or stay straight off the tee. I do love the bite on the greens. I am hoping the CALLAWAY TOUR IX will be a more complete ball. What do you guys think?

I have a few friends who are constantly not counting all there putts, drive overs, or drops. This is worse than 1 or 2 gimmies and / or a mulligan, I could live with that. These guys think and tell people that they are way better golfers than they are. I also get sick & tired of losing by a couple of strokes. When I could win if only they counted everything. Does anyone else have this problem?

I don't improve very often, maybe a few times a year. My brother in law does it and another friend and it makes me furious. When I do improve those few times it is usualy because I am so pi**ed off about them doing it. It is no excuse, though. I want to say something to them, however I want to keep peace in the family.

I think that she will and when she does it will be huge. I know that I will miss watching her play.

I have a question about older tournaments
Wisconsin Golfer replied to Wisconsin Golfer's topic in Golf Talk
Thank you guys. -
I read DOWN THE FAIRWAY by BOBBY JONES, a great book, however it ends before his grand slam. So, I started reading THE BOBBY JONES STORY by O. B. KEELER, an awesome book and alot more detailed. The question that I have is, in both books during tournaments, they talk about a medal winner and then the tournament champion. What is the difference?

The lifespan of a vokey spin milled
Wisconsin Golfer replied to ScottyCameron's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I have had my VOKEY 60* ( which I consider a LOB WEDGE ) for a few months and I use it alot. I subscribe to the idea that ANNIKA and TIGER advice, which is use the same wedge around the greens. The VOKEY really tore up golf balls for about the first 4 or 5 rounds, then it did wear in and now it still has really good spin and is very consistent. It doesn't tear up the golf balls as much now, however it still puts alot of bite and spin on the ball. VOKEY's are the best wedges that I have ever played.
