#18 at Normandy Golf Course in St. Louis,... 241 from the white tee's, 250 from the blues,... But I won "Closest to the Hole" there once in a tournament,... yeah, I hit driver, hard as I could,... http://www.normandiegolf.com/?page=36579

ya know,... this is a silly argument,.. there will never be any way to compare the two guys and definitely say who was better, or the best,... they are both awesome, have had great success at all levels, both were totally dominating their era's, both have brilliant highlight reels, and they both played with the best equipment available,... Jacks equipment was better than the guys 20 years before him, Tigers equipment is better than Jacks but you play with the times, so it's a moot point,... nobody knows now, nobody will ever know,... I love to watch them both play golf,... I just hope Tiger can over come his BIG problems he put on himself and just tie Jack in majors and then retire ! It's a tie,...! Let's be happy we had them to watch. Good Golf Times,...

I think it's when a high handicapper has like 210-230 yards to the green and 'automatically" pulls a 3 wood,... it's rare that a HH can hit that shot with an control, and if they do it'll go wide left or right giving them a shot from some rough or a sand trap further getting them in trouble,... I've often suggested a HH hit something they know they can hit well (5 -7 iron) just to keep it in the fairway even if it's short of the green, then chip on and maybe 1 putt for par or 2 putt for bogey at the least,... (if they can mange the approach and chip that is,...)

I tend to think the pool of talent is so much bigger now with the numbers of golfers and courses there are today vs in the past that it's harder to win multiple majors now than it was in the past,... So, I Think it's Tiger for all his crazy good shots he's played over the years,... he's got work to do now to pass Jack but I don't go by just those numbers,...

I play a draw/nasty hook and I was pushed up against some tree's on my right, no shot for a hooker like me, but I saw an opening if I could get my 6 iron in that hole and it draws I'm out of trouble,.. I did it, but my short game faltered... but I loved that shot!

age old question,... does a hole in one on a par three course deserve an asterisk,...? ( love this question ) I guess I say yes, because my friends played a par 3 course almost exclusively for a couple of years, sometime 27 holes a night 3 nights a week,... and they all started pumping in aces,... well yeah,... you see that may par 3's in that short of time your chances go WAY up,... but good for them, they count as aces, but with an * and an explanation when your talking aces at the 9th hole. oh,... and I get to brag that my 2 aces were on regular courses,..

I hit a lot of crap shots,...... I'm gone from the game for 3 weeks at a time for work, and when I get back and it's like starting all over,.... thus a 94 yesterday,... we were late and didn't get a chance to hit balls, big mistake,... ouch, bunch of penalties, O.B's, lake shots, lost balls and a handful of 3 putts,... oh well,... but I played it down and counted them all and still had a blast!!!

They did mention that foot prints and tire tracks may be in the sand traps so I feel as if they did warn them about people being in them, standing or walking through, what's the diference,...? I don't get it,...? why do you think an asterisk would be in order if Bubba would have been declared the winner in regulation after the ruling,...? If you don't believe in the ruling (and you do believe in asterisk's) then either winner should have one under your belief. Personally, the asterisk thing make no sense to me. It was a clear rules violation that was outlined on line # 1 in the rules. Is this true,..? if so, once you ground your club you can do it again and again,...? I have a hard time believing that but I've yet to try and look it up. It's seems to me that the rule is there so you don't alter the amount of sand behind you ball, so if you have a fried egg lie it might be worth it to ground your club 4 or 5 times giving you a better shot at good ball contact,...? after seeing this (I watched this in Kuwait and wasn't privy to many replays) and stopping the clip at :06 seconds there you can see the very clear outline of a bunker, one prerson standing in it and several standing on top of a huge lip and you see a ball cleary in a flat portion of sand the is attached to a huge portion of sand and having played around all these millions of bunkers and reading that #1 rule about the bunkers, no question it was a bunker and how he didn't even question it is beyond me,... so in my mind DJ messed up there, but the course messed up by allowing people to stand in the bunkers,...
-
looked like he was closer to the lip than the circle in the pic indicates, regaurdless, it looked like a bunker to me then and now, the close up they showed clearly showed a ball laying in sand, why didn't he or his caddie question it,...? but people standing in bunkers that may come into play in a major,..? questionable decision in my mind by who ever set up that rule.

my opinion is I don't care what anyone does on the range, if it were to creep me out I'd move, but on the putting green, please don't be the guy who pulls the balls out of the hole and stands there 1 foot from that hole while you putt to your next hole, thus taking up 2 holes,.......
